How many soft bans you reckon you can log before it's permanent?
I'll probably spoof until I'm permabanned, I've walked my entire town with pogo for about 4 days with friends, it's barren and I didn't have fun until I teleported to central park.
But somehow, despite 5 of us never seeing them in town, there are gyms being held by 1000cp pokes. Idk man
if they were spoofing they wouldnt be only at 1k cp lol
look on the ingress map for spots where you live to go (typically malls or colleges)

What did you mean by this?
Rather than simulating walking or driving they would just instantly change locations and travel faster than the speed of light to new locations.
So a dude spoofing his location in Denver gets tired of the town and then bails out to New York, Niantic keeps track of player locations and flags huge jumps like that.

So continuing with the relationships between this and ingress: how do we find out what were the hotspots in ingress and translate that into pokemon go? because im toronto-based and everyone is just finding out about harborfront square where there are 5 spots that have lures pretty much 24/7, it also has a really solid array of mons spawning, but thats it, no one knows sources of fire-types or electric-types and theyre just oging to stay there until it gets boring and move on, but i want to know where to since i already capped everything i could there. i have the gyarados people are trying to get, i have more than enough for a poliwrath, i have 2 1k seakings and the 1k +starmie dream. where to next?

How would they even know? Last I checked even soft bans only occur when you exceed a distance that requires you travelling above a certain speed.

I think given how widespread the game is, Niantic isn't going to want to risk false positives.
I don't know precisely how bluestacks works, but it's entirely possible that some code in PoGo can detect what platform it's running on. Niantic could potentially just amend its terms of service (if it is not already provisioned there already) that running it on emulators will flag you for a permaban.
The best anticheat is the kind that doesn't make its presence known until long after it has damned you. If you don't want to get banned, don't use it. If you're still scared, just make an alt and try to catch up.
