I've been playing a lot of unranked games since my internet has been spotty for a while, and I've almost always have a good game with decent, pleasant players who don't feed too much and know what they are doing
But recently I queued a few times in ranked and it feels like I see nothing but shitters, people constantly flaming each other, massive feeds and throws everywhere (and the occasional 25/0 smurf or booster)

Is it possible that my unranked mmr overtook the ranked one by a lot or something like that? I've always thought I was bad but not this bad

because you ain't guaranteed a lane win with am in pubs, your supports could be trash/just rotate away and leave you to 1v1 timber. something like pa is far more likely to win the lane because of cancerdaggerspam, and if you get that protection something like slark offers far more than am
