There is nothing wrong with casual mode, besides the queue times. They're even adding the ability to select a certain map soon(tm), just so crybabies like you will finally shut up. Stop crying because it isn't what you're used to, if you want to pick and choose a map immediately, just play on community servers. God, you're all such brats.

Gorge is one of the best looking maps in the game, they just have bad taste.

We were talking about Casual, not competitive. 6v6 Gorge was a mistake.

The update is alright by me. I just wished kiddies didn't immediately abandon every time the game starts to look slightly bad for them.

I'm sorry. Every time I go medic in matchmaking, my team doesn't protect me, so I usually swap back to scout or something else I'm bad at.

Nah. I like playing random maps, it's fun. I realized I had pigeonholed myself into only playing certain payload or KOTH maps, so it gets me out of that little zone I had going.

I'm bad, though.

It's easy to blame medics when you and the other players have terrible aim.

I've actually mostly played complete rounds of payload. I do agree that Valve should rework that, though. Also, yes A/D CP works the same way. If Blu captures X points in Y amount of time, Red has to do it faster in order to win when the teams switch. Things like PLR and 5CP and CTF are best of 3, though, I dunno why the inconsistency.

This is a team game. Did you try actually communicating with your teammates, or did you try to do everything yourself? Teamplay > Soloplay, this is competitive, not a Valve pub.

It's because FPS configs make your game even more unstable so Valve can't get accurate and reproducable bug reports

in viaduct its mostly around 160 on average and down to 40 FPS in the midst of action

I started playing in the first halloween update (oct 30 2009) and have played it fairly regularly since then.

This is the first update to make me not want to play the game.

i personally think there are two kinds of games in the FPS genre

>movement games

TF2 and Quake Live being the latter
you can actually get a good positioning instead of just peeking and one-shot kill anybody

Comp is shit, it's always someone leaving midgame and making the rest leave because 0 xp loss.

Casual is shit because not only you cant choose your map anymore or have to wait 5 minutes or more, but also if you join midmatch you get 0 points, so yoi cant even help the team you're on

Balance changes were utter shit. Few of them and they were all pulled out of there asses like the quickie bomb launcher change or worthless like the crit a cola and shortstop changes.

It's all a big fat mess.
