>OVERCASTING SPELLS Double click a spell (it needs to be a boostable spell and you need to have enough magic in the magic pool) to overcast the spell There's a 50% chance that the caster damages itself though!
>QUEST BATTLE TELEPORT Select your lord (make sure he isn't garrisoned or in a stance) Select the quest battle (on the map or through quest log) There's a button in the bottom right of the quest battle window that you can use to teleport for 5k gold (when the battle's finished you're automatically teleported back to your original position)
>GROUP ATTACK Group units with ctrl + g Select your group and right click the enemy All your units move and automatically direct themselves to and engage enemies they get close to while maintaining formation

Which is a more effective anvil for Vampire counts?
I was thinking Graveguards, but they're really expensive, and I'm getting outnumbered by Orcs.
Do Zombies make for an effective anvil while my Cavalry does the heavy lifting?
Jaxson Richardson
You don't really need the spearmen. Halberd demis can do their job better, as well as multiple other things. I'd replace them with two heroes. Nothing wrong with just filling up the slots when the rest of it can kill anything though.
Easton Martin
Just do cairn wraiths and crypt horrors + nehek. You won't even need the cav.
William Parker
the one that got gunned down by machine guns
Jaxon Parker
The Skelly-Horror picture show has always been the best for VC. Now people run a few cairn wraiths a necro and the deathstar was born. Zambs are ok for being so disposable and take a while to die
Juan Scott
Playing Rome 2.
Agains human players, how do I deal with superior numbers?
Playing as the Arverni.
Two oathsworn, Two noble horse, one noble spears, two chosen spears, three gallic hunters, three chosen swordmen and one celti youth.
Jonathan Perry
I feel like I need a melee line to guard my artillery though.
My army differs quite a lot depending on who I'm fighting
When I'm marching to deal with Norsemen, I either go full Steam Tank and bulldoze march around Norsca or use three+ stacks of cheap infantry+mortars.
When I'm dealing with Dwarves, I bring more elite troops.
Parker Sanders
Your demis should be able to screen the arty well enough by themselves. One unit can tie up several of the enemy's, and so can a steam tank for that matter.
Anthony Richardson
Is it just me or do factions make much more armies now then before the patch? Bretonnia has like 6 atm and just look at these mad orcs.

MP guide to R2
You will never take high tier spears, they are worthless. Levy freeman are so damn cheap any kills you get on them (precursor javs) will pay for themselves and provide a screen against any cav (again javs). Spears are pretty trash for the most part.
Mid tier swords rule (rome, sword followers, chosen) the sword core will take up the biggest chunk of the army (supported by MLG Freeman). There will be a couple oathsworn
Rushes work best overall
Heavy horse will pay for itself better than noble but having 1 or 2 would be ok depending on funds.
Gallic hunters are trash and expensive, bring the slingers for skirmishing, freeman replace youths.
Some scout cav is good depending on your micro.
Less variety more abusing the well performing mid tier.
Jonathan Foster
any mention to bloodbowl in this game? just curious
Josiah Bailey
I dunno man, my Gallic hunters always win skirmisher engagements.
Those are great tips all and all, but it involves expanding my army size due to cheaper units.
I was wondering, how would I deal with a larger force?
Henry Butler
By ditching the expensive trash and implementing the over performing for cost freemand and mid tier swords you will have a larger army. You will trade cost effectively across your units.
Those expensive units you were running (noble spears, chosen spears, gallic hunters) are bleeding money from you for either sub optimal or no return.
is a good talk on the units at the end and gamplay showing general ideas
Henry Johnson
>try to play a chaos campaign >can never get decent units because pop surplus is fucking with me >thousands of doomstacks running around making me retreat every turn >get cornered by 3 other chaos stacks with my first lord and he dies >run along the coastline for about 8 turns with my other stack >fucking emperor karl franz disembarks right along my path with another doomstack >literally doesn't give a shit about greenskins and other chaos stacks sacking and razing his empire and decided to take his elite whoresons over the seas to fuck one particular chaos lord he's never seen before >only have chaos marauders and other useless shit against his reiksguard and whatnot
tried to do that battle 5 times now always the same result, can't retreat anymore
Bentley Bennett
I don't disagree with your advice. I get what you're saying.
I'm not thinking about unit picks, I'm thinking about tactics.
>least popular of the armies that can appear on the current map is the first major DLC
come on CA
Grayson Butler
>Beastmen fully added before Bretonnia How will they ever recover?
Elijah Flores
Beastieboys should have been in the base game, playing as empire and not getting to slaughter them just feels wrong.
John Bennett
Can't wait to ram Boris in the nuts and shit on his face.
Easton Jackson
>Driving threw the forest shooting beastmen shits while sitting atop a steam tank >I aint no fortunate one starts playing.
Angel Ross
>>least popular of the armies that means most popular to fgight against. Brilliant move by CA desu. My empire campaign just got a lot ore interestig. Gonna obliterate beast shits with my cannons and gunpowder and other civilized weapons
