you dont play EVE "solo", no matter what you do you are playing with other people. You are eventually going to make friends, and work with someone at some point. Its impossible not to. You can run missions and PvE all day, but unless you want to really get involved with the game you're having fun with, you should definitely seek out involvement with another player. they'll seek you out eventually.
