Also, forgot to mention about Sims: Long range torps.
Even if they're slow and low damage, they're useful for area denial and you sometimes do get hits on oblivious ships. For example, this one torp hit won the game when it sunk a Yorck going around an island.

The short range torps usually force you to make very suicidal maneuvers, which is something I don't approve. A DD is very powerful in the late game, so it's not worth to die for a quick kill.

Nothing really, it's certainly not going to become the king of T7 BBs by being some invincible flamethrower or whatever I'd seen some people say.

Was actually pretty neat trying to work out which ships were friendlies and which were the enemy team without any UI elements to tell them apart.

I've had that happen. Main gun reticle, distance, minimap etc gone. Strangely enough there were still tags over domination cap points and I had the grey cone for torpedoes. Very weird.

It was on Estuary and he was about 15-17km away in his base while I was in mine. I guess I could have been the only target, but still, that's a long shot to just decide to take with HE loaded. He only got one kill and it was on a Nicholas about 8km away who died in 2 salvos. So maybe he did just load HE.
