I beat Conquest on hard and it wasn't excruciating, for a frame of reference.

I'm getting birthright and conquest in a month. I've beaten FE9, 10, FE13, FE7 and FE8 in that order. Should I play birthright first, or at all? Is there anything that is as shit as Battle Before Dawn in conquest? Is there anything as challenging yet rewarding as Blood Runs Red in conquest?

If you liked FE13 you will like Birthright. It's basically a more polished, better designed Awakening.
I found Conquest challenging and rewarding for the most part, it isn't until you enter endgame that Conquest starts getting obnoxious with its difficulty.
