When did you first realize Purge is dogshit /d2g/? I just watch the video from last thread of his Alc game with the gulag potm in it. I haven't kept up with Purge at all and I'm floored at how fucking bad he is. He is still smart with the way he thinks and he has generally okay game sense in that regard, but his actual mechanics are completely fucked. I guess that's kind of a side affect of him being more a teacher rather then a competitive player, but I'm sitting here kinda depressed that the guy who eased me into dota, and helped me understand base mechanics is actually fucking worse than I am now, even though I started in 2012 and he started in Beta or some shit.

He had and still has very good mental understanding of the game, he knows logically what to do at any point, but his actual play is fucking dogshit. He was also a 5k when that was an achievement, but this was so far back that he probably just knew to build items better than otehr people, rather than outplay them. He played on Zephyr in KOR, but they still couldn't succeed, the best thing they ever did was make MVP Phoenix popular, who are one of my favorite teams. I lost a lot of respect for him when he made Zephyr, they were just poaching a young market and taking advantage of a relatively unskilled scene. I'm just kinda realizing for the first time that Purge actually sucks, which is wierd since he was so important in me playing Dota initially.

I was solo vs Ogre Magi / Timbersaw offlane. I lost the lane pretty hard and had a super bad bfury timing of like 20 minutes.

About half of that CS is from pushing lanes and the other was blinking around our jungle and farming camps. Nobody ever stacked in that game.

At one point Dire was knocking on our T4 tower but luckily Ember and Ogre fed.

forgot to mention most of the game was spent on our side of the map as we were almost always on disadvantage, only reason we won is because they kept losing high ground fights, as well as general feeding which gave comeback gold

That's the whole reason I'm floored at how shit he is, he made me play dota basically, which I have Thousands of hours in now, and love an immense amount. I havne't watched any of his videos or content in a very long time.

He focuses too much on what's going on in all the other lanes and what he plans on doing after X movement or Y action too much. If he honed some autistic focus into what was happening around him at that moment and little else during most points he'd improve mechanically.

And once you begin to improve mechanically and really turn those mechanical skills into second nature then you can multitask efficiently

the most an am with bad timings can do is usually play it smart and try to pick off heroes with no mana with his ult at the end of a teamfight. just show up to do that and then back to creeps.

Nah, he's like actual dogshit now, he didn't keep up on the game, he doesn't even know all the mechanics anymore, he misses a fuck ton of last hits, he builds trash items. He was building BKB for Blademail ina game from 3 days ago, he built Soul Ring and Bottle on mid Alc, he also went manta. He's playing a fucking game with his Twitch subs, and it's really really clearly some dogshit game with awful awful players, the best player in the game was probably his Lion. he should have been able to farm the game out hard with his skill advantage, but he's at 213 lh at 30 minutes on a mid alc, he had 41 lh at 10 mins, with the only pressure being a singular gank. The TA he was against was pushing the lane hard as fuck, he should have been mid 70 LH at 10 at the worst, acid spray and push to TA's tower, then go take a jungle camp, but instead he wandered the jungle and stacked and missed waves on waves mid, on a max greevil alc, so it would have been better for him to just static the fuckign lane with Ta and have a gorillion gold. Pretty fucking awful play. Not too mention on top of all this he's bitching about literally everyone else too.

arc warden has 4 illusions + 1 free hero that spams spells/items and can teleport around the map more than naga to deploy illusions more spread out
when you push into the enemy base, arc warden can keep throwing his hero at the tower as well as illusions, dealing far more dps and harder to stop
when the enemy pushes into your tower, you can keep spamming magnetic field on it with 80%+ uptime, making it very hard for the enemy to position to ever hit it at all
then when you start getting 9 slotted, arc warden has DOUBLE necronomicon
