What kind of fucking hearts do you mean in the first place.
There are two hearts in the game. The friend point gacha. (The amount of friend points you have uses the heart icon and these are the very same hearts you get from missions and commus) and the bond level parameters
Bond levels increase two ways: Either through playing songs with that card or by giving them stuff through the puchi office.
There are two primary benefits of increasing bond.
1. Reaching certain bond milestones increases the card's stats. And maximizing bond for the base version of the card allows it to undergo special training, which unlocks the plus version, which has a higher level cap and new art. Not to mention a new bond milestone is set, allowing it to further gain even more stats. 2. Increasing bond gives some extra dialogue and unlocking the plus form of a card actually unlocks new commus, which in turn rewards you with Star Jewels.

You can some songs from the Jukebox and most songs are unlocked at Producer level 50. But you need to play through the story commus first.
Then there are the circulation songs available only on certain days and event songs that is only for certain players up until a certain point.
