I've thought on this for a while.
Wynne actually has a terrible personality. She is brainwashed by the circle, and is incredibly narrow-minded.
She attempts to dominate the Warden, and make him follow her "morals". She is willfully deaf to the problems mages have, and will talk down to anyone that doesn't agree with her as childish(the warden), or as dangerous(morrigan)
Meanwhile, Morrigan will never lie to the Warden, she is innocent like a child.

Solas... It's even worse if you read Asunder because it turns out she abandoned her mage son and didn't care enough to reconnect him despite having a lot of political power. We know that circle mages can have all sorts of privileges (like Vivienne), it's just that Wynne genuinely believes that they have no business living outside of chantry dogma. I kind of like her though, her mentor-like relationship with the warden (especially a mage one) is quite nice and her speech about not fearing death is some of the best writing in the game imo
