I think Elixir Field is pretty comparable to post-buff Katon (excluding Kassatsu-Katons) in terms of overall damage added. Katon is 250 potency about every 22 seconds (taking into account that you have to Mudra), and Elixir Field is about 330 potency (220 with GL3, TS, FoF multipliers) every 30 seconds. About 11 potency/second over time.

EF adds a little more if you try to model IR/BfB but not really enough to be worth the hassle.

AoE math is kind of surprising if you're autistic enough to actually bother mathing it out despite how useless it is to do so.
