One thing what bothers me is the fact that lower screen map/status panels are all on fucking WHITE background, that burns my eyes. Is there a way to change the color? 3u/4u had this brownish more mild color which is much more neutral. Fucking Capcom.

I guess it works in some fights, but you should always go with Striker for SA, two amazing arts, and you can use the last for evade. The arts are really the highlight of the SA, it get's so much damage up modifiers.

Every MH has shit endgame. You hunt two, maybe three monsters for an eternity because nothing else is relevant when you have a maxed out weapon and an optimized armor set.

Focus on the journey.

i never unstand why you people engage with that "endgame."
here's a better idea, and it's how i spent my last 300 or so hours in 4u. make some weapon/armor sets you like, and then hunt whichever of the dozens of monsters that are in the game that you want. hundreds of hours of braindead relic farming or killing hundreds of hellblade glavenus for some shiny drops for a weapon you will never use is pointless. you might as well just play another game at that point.

Yeah, the two arts are mandatory, and you get higher damage on attacks default (in striker). And it's just good to have an evade. It dosn't loses so much that it isnt worth it though.
But, while you deal really good damage, and you never have to leave sword mode, you will mostly be pressing x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x--x-x-x-x-x--x-x-x-x as long as you use SA

Huh? I gathered fine with my hunter. I started in Japanese version and didn't understand Felynx shit anyway so I entirely skipped that portion of the game. I'm HR 5 now. Are Felynxes required for anything?

I'll be stick with petrified for the most part mainly because Insecticutters are a pain in the ass to craft and will just be an hour or so for one upgrade.

You don't touch them because they're a complete waste of time, they're only "good" for 2* and arguably Khezu, neither of which you're around long enough and the following upgrades don't shine in their respective ranges. Where Insecticutters would work, Petrified work, and level 3 can upgrade into the Nibelsnarf duals. Yukumo Duo is a better option than Insecticutters.
