Okay, so it's all but confirmed that waterside areas give water and psychic pokemon, rocky/hot areas give rock, fire and ground pokemon, and leafy areas give bug and grass pokemon.

Anyone have observations on what kind of areas have ghost or electric type pokemon?

Walking distance.
Personally I never spoof more than 2 blocks away.
I change city overnight and stay there for the day.

I can also confirm that boring subsurbs give a lot of pidgeys, zubats, spearows and rattatas.

Do lure modules bring in pokemon other than what's on my radar?

Those are absolutely everywhere though. Might be more common in certain areas but it doesn't really matter since everyone can get at least some of them. Meanwhile the other types seem to be more restricted - I live by the sea and have seen very few fire types and only like one or two rock types, while other people report seeing the reverse.

They only bring in pokemon that aren't on your radar. Think of it as just making a pokemon spawn at the stop periodically.

This fucker for me. Waste buckets of balls trying to hit them and when I finally do they nearly always escape. Nevermidn the fact that they are common as dog shite yet their level up candy is still 50 so I can't even claim it's worth it for the XP.

Rustling leaves can mean there's a pokemon there, it's not guaranteed but there's a chance one will spawn even if it's not marked as nearby.

I did it when I woke up so 8 hours. I also used a pokestop and I wasn't softbanned

It's a "spawn point". Means something will be there sometimes, not all the time though.

If you wait on that point for an hour you should get something, but it will more than likely be shit so don't bother.

Just caught this guy with only 2 Great balls. The trick to throwing a straight ball is to slowly (emphasis on slowly) drag the ball straight up the middle of the screen, then at the very end flick it hard and release.

Transfering on PC is so much easier than on the phone
