This game is fucking stupid, we only win when I carry 4 idiots and get a ridiculous KDA otherwise I play fairly average and one or two enemies get fed to the point I can't do anything. I just want fun even games, I don't want to win all the time or anything.

I've recently picked up Ratatoskr after his rework and I'm having trouble nailing a build for him. I've been getting very mixed results with what I'm currently using. I either dominate the match for fall behind early and end up struggling for the rest of the game. I was wondering if I could get some advice to make my performance more consistent.

For abilities, I've been maxing out his 2 first to get the full protection reduction. Then 3 and 1, and leveling up the ult at each earliest opportunity.

On items, I rush Transcendence then build his acorn. I then build Jotunn's Wrath for CDR, Titan's Bane for pen, and Bloodforge for the power and passive. Then I save a slot for situational building, which usually ends up being either Magi's Blessing, Winged Blade, or Witchblade, depending on the enemy team composition.

I tried looking up some builds on Smite Guru, but everything is so different. Nobody seems to be sure what to do with him. I see a lot of mention that Bloodforge isn't a good item for him, since he's too fragile to take advantage of the lifesteal. (As I said, I mainly build it for the power and the passive. Would Bulwark be a better choice in that case?) I see a lot of basic attack builds for him too, but he's an ability-based right, isn't he? Or should I be focusing on AA items? I just feel like I'm missing something, hopefully someone can give some clarity.

This. All the pro's today were once new to smite and had to carry themselves through the ranks. They STAY in masters because they never solo queue and if they do, they usually get matched with other masters instead of shitters

Most are pretty predictable, but yeah some cards could benefit from going back to the old "1/2/3/4" display system. If I was just looking at the lowest level cards in for example, I might think it's the duration or threshold that scales with Totemic Rescue or for Thunderstruck the cooldown reduction.
