How do you guys hit people on FA, without facing them or getting behind them?

I'm constantly finding myself chase people down who are able to hit me from the sides or behind but I can never get into my sight range

It's not a stats issue, I have the best range, maneuverability, melee ability, etc. that I can get. But it just seems damn near impossible to get some good players in my sight range. They're always at the edges of my screen

is it that the meta is just broken in favor of stupid fast mechs that you can't actually hit? FA's online is really disappointing me

Are other players just that good that they can never take damage but still use heavy cannons on lightweights consistenty?

Tanks are garbage and basically put a huge flashing neon "KILL ME" sign above your head.
Light bipeds have enough load capacity to take some of the heavier missile launchers in addition to two rifles and can still move faster than basically everything else.
Grab two (assault) rifles, lock on to someone, and hold triggers until you get some damage in.

Yeah, my problem is that I need something bigger than rifles. I'm losing huge against cannons every time I pull out rifles, even against lightweights. But I can't make them work for myself.

Example of what I know:
>I know that VTF missiles do great to wear down PA and chase down enemies with no PA for heavy damage. So I put VTF missiles on a PA pressure build.

Example of what I'm confused about:

Weapons that I can't seem to get working, but kill me constantly:

1. Kamal (seriously... how do you even do damage with this?)
2. Spread Bazookas
3. Grenade launchers
4. VTF missiles
5. Spread missile extension
6. Rail cannons
7. Scatter missiles

Weapons I've had good success with:
1. Most Rifles
2. High accuracy missiles
3. Lightest sniper rifle
4. Light omer laser rifle
5. Laser sniper rifle

But those are all very low damage/dps and I just can't keep up with the damage racing

I'm mostly using those weapons on lightweight permaflight Latona or

I emphasize main and back boosters, and use weaker side boosters, so I can have permanent flight, so it's not like I'm running around using a tank or heavy with no mobility.

You know if you been playing for long you'll be able to read the patterns of the missiles. Also VTF's are pretty easy to evade without sufficient pressure from other weapons to back them up. Perhaps we should compile a list of effective weapons but with the uncertainty of FA's latency its to best to test on your own. Yes you're not alone friendo some weapons work wonders for JP lords but for us it will never hit.

I really want to apologize for not making SNFAs these past weeks. I'm an asshole, I know. I promise I'll make it again, but I can't make a promise on a definite date, because that might be a promise I can keep. And if I can't keep that, I'd be an asshole squared.

The one that can function(blade plus shotgun) is my own issue of skill though.

kek The problem with it is that it's not fast enough to utilize its shotgun or blade. Blades should only be used on bipedal lightweight ACs, and shotties should only be used on generally very fast ACs. Unfortunately I think that your AC might also be bad at retaining energy.
