If you're going to use BoM, then maybe level a but of arcane for Augur

Usually Professional or Military Veteran. Occasionally Cruel Fate depending if you want to use hunter tools a lot. Honestly though, if you're not retarded, just cycle through the origins in the character planner and pick the one with the lowest level for the stats you want.

As for your secondary skill, should you choose to have one, you have many options. You can go BLT for better use of the Chikage, Rifle Spear, and Reiterpallasch. You can go STR to maximize damage for weapons like the Burial Blade. You can go ARC for hunter tools like the Old Hunter's Bone or Augur. Take your pick.

Is Bloodletter any good?
I want to try something else than the Whirling saw, but I'm afraid the scaling will be like Tonitrus.

The Bloodletter is a top-tier weapon, but it's just like the Chikage. If you don't have high BLT, the tricked form is useless for you.

The Bloodletter is really good. Its dash attack is godlike, it gets a good amount of armor on its moves, and it has the L2. Even the untricked Bloodletter is usable if you have high strength, whereas high skill Chikage is still largely worthless.

And remember, don't respond to tripfags.

arcane wheel is arguably stronger than NR and needs no stat investment past base stats to use it so vitgouge like crazy, i remember someone posting his arcane wheel build with like 80 vitality

That's an understatement. At 50/50 STR/BLT i was hitting for insane numbers in mace form, literally stronger than full chikage blood mode charge. People only using blood mode of that thing is missing out half of the fun.

FCs still happen on Saturdays, our last one died rather early.

3v1s are less common, but they still happen. It helps if you invade someone doing co-op here.

3v1s are always rare but they're still possible. I don't invade much anymore but I did fight a gank squad a few days ago in Mergo's Loft. I bet the DLC has some newbies summoning for Ludwig still so you can try there.
