Pawns are just retarded about enemy spells in general. Earlier today I had 2 of my 3 pawns patiently wait for an instant death circle to end them because there just happened to be a healing bubble on top of it.

I also get a lot of "We need to make some kind of opening!" when a cursed dragon is slowed and writhing on the ground while my pawns casually gather around to discuss what to do. I don't CARE what you do, just use ANY attack and it will be better than whatever the fuck this is.

...

All the areas have the same map with just some corridors closed down and Cursed Dragons especially are just a shitty encounter because the areas are too small for dragon fights.

Especially that one tower you go down to, for me the shitterdragon just kept doing circles and clipping through the walls not knowing what the fuck to do.

God damnit Lordly Cloak, you're the ONLY ITEM LEFT in Everfall that I want.
I'm not spending 45 minutes godsbaning over a white cape !

Start of a new thread seems as good of time as any~

Snapdragons gear has been improved quite a bit. Got her weapons gold rare and though her armor is a bit of a mish mash she has 100% resistance to Petrification, Sleep and Possession.

Almost level 100, going ranger from 10 onward. I'm finally going to swap out to some other class at this point, either Sorcerer or Magic Archer. Will likely keep Snaps as a ranger, as to keep that longbow in use. But when I started this file I was curious to see just how well Exquy or whatever could work if you had a shitload of stamina to work with. Not that I expect the pawn AI to really work well though, I may still try it out. At the very least having petrification on hand sounds great for eliminators and poisoned undead.

But anyways, I always appreciate the pawn knowledge and rift crystals, if anyone is looking for a ranger.

Has anyone modded the game to give pawns hybrid vocations?

>pawn wanders under water dripping from the ceiling
>lantern goes out
>stows and retrieves it without moving out of the water
>lantern goes out
>stows and retrieves it without moving out of the water
>lantern goes out
>stows and retrieves it without moving out of the water
>pawn wanders into poison swamp
>gets poisoned
>eats poison curative
>doesn't move out of the swamp
>gets poisoned
>eats poison curative
>doesn't move out of the swamp
>gets poisoned
>eats poison curative
>doesn't move out of the swamp

You can mod them that way (can't remember if it's through a nexus mod or the save editor), but they can't use the hybrid classes' skills. I think it's probably that the AI for it just doesn't exist.

Hybrid augments work fine on pawns, though.

Are you dealing with your feelings, cos?

So my leveling was done as Strider to 10 then a mix of Sorcerer and Mystic Knight to level 71

its normal for me to be getting horribly one-shot by just about every big enemy in BBI, right?

>TAKE CARE YOU ARENT SOAKED IN THE WATER!
Sometimes i wished the pawns actually did what they warn you about but nah fuck it cant have that so i have to go back to riftstone to resummon my pawns because despite all that yelling about Death's lantern being BAAAAAD they just stay near it like pack of niggers around KFC.

Speaking of NPCs being stupid, when I was escorting Berne to the shadowfort a week or so ago, I thought I'd cut by the southern edge of the lake, go round the northern end of the hill, and hopefully avoid both the drake and the saurians.

On my first attempt he got killed by the drake, and on the second he jumped into the brine as he noticed it coming.

>IT CAN'T SET ME ON FIRE IF I'M COMPLETELY COVERED IN WATER

THEY'RE LEARNING

yes

my arisens are beautiful too

Everything there does more than double its normal damage, so yes

I mean I figured my defenses would be shit and things would suck when I got hit, but jesus christ.

guys i am drunk
I am going to ruin this playthrough

You're playing as mage?

Absolute madman.

If this game has anything i really hate it's these monsters immune to physical damage.

I have some magic weapons or atleast i think they are magic as they have +magick and elemental damage but hese do fuck all to this shit of a Living Armor and hoping your pawn mage stops being retarded and either gives others +magic dmg buff or actually proceeds to fucking finish spells it tries to cast is infuriating to say the least.

So why can a Japanese dev team produce better constructed rhyming couplets in English than BioWare?

Enemies immune to magic damage are so much worse. Enchanted melee weapons have their damage roughly split between physical and magic, while staves are more like 10-90.

Huh? Are there such things too? I havent noticed because i've been going physical with usually only 1 mage pawn around to buff and heal if the AI doesnt for once fuck everything up.

Cant see them being worse though, sure if you play mage it sucks FOR YOU but nigga atleast pawns that deal physical dmg arent braindead with what they do like casters are.

Metal Golems are completely immune to magic damage.

Well arent they completely immune to ALL damage or are the medals too?

Not like those are fun for physicals either if you are war or fighter and one of those are in some fuck you location you need a bow or other ranged shit to dmg because pawns cannot into that.

Some magic spells do physical damage though so it's okay to use those, assuming they can reach the target.

so i just finished the cart escort to the big city
and the floral delivery quest failed

now I sit here contemplating starting over (again)

Could I ask /ddg/ for advice on fashion ?

I've prepared plenty of different outfits for my characters but I cannot decide which one to go with.

It's been 3 hours that I'm basically playing dress-up with my pawn.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8-4#Gameography

Do what you think would be most fun.

Sure, user. Post some pics.

DD is not the kind of game where you should obsess over 100% the first playthrough. It actually fucks things up if you do because you become overpowered and the story battles become a joke.

I'm not 100%ing every quest, I'm just trying to avoid failed quests

but fuck it

I meant that too. Just let it go, user.

Let the wind push you. Become the dangan.

youtube.com/watch?v=SZNbabKjKpA

Wish somebody told me that sooner
>mfw level 40 by the time I finish Come to Court
Fuck me and my completionist tendencies

>I'm just trying to avoid failed quests

lol quest system will stab you in the back when you least expect it

It's the price of not having shitty scaling like in TES.

It'l still be fun, i was probably 50 or so when doing that quest.
It's more about how good your weapons are than what level you are.

Here are my experiments with end-game Everfall fashion. Nothing from BBI yet.

I think 10 works pretty well, but I wonder if I should change the cape to something darker like Feral Cape or something longer like Alchemikal Cape.

What are your thoughts /ddg/ ? Trying to get a practical looking Fighter pawn.

>16 & 17 are the same.

Fuck I need some sleep. I'll do Arisen fashion tomorrow.
17 was meant to be pic related.

15 looks very nice.

1: yes
2: okay but the shield ruins it though i doubt you want to use crappier one just for the looks
3: no, just no
4: breti gud would hire/5
5: not bad, maybe the brown long boots instead of black?
6: rawr would hire
7: nope.jpg
8: hmm... i dunno senpai...
9: nice/5
10: spike/5, gloves arent horribru but those boots eew
11: knight/5
12: notto baddu but would fit better if she were blue eyed blonde for dat Viking/Nord look.

15 is my favourite but quite a few of them are good.

1, 11, 13, 14, and 15 are my favorites.

All of the ones with bare skin or rogueish looking outfits don't really fit with how stronk your pawn is at this point.

I think 13 and 15 look fucking rad, those are my favorites.

Thanks for the insightful comments, friends.

There's something about the surcoat that doesn't translate as well as I'd like once ingame, so I'll probably work around 11, 13 and maybe try some different variations with 10.

But for now I'm going to get some sleep.
G'night /ddg/, see you tomorrow for more fashion posting.

Good night.

Oh, dang, these guys have actually done some really good work.

>English-to-FIGSPCJKR
>Inter-Office Communication
>English-to-FGJ
>English-to-FGS
w-what

I like 10, 13, and 18, though they're obviously very different styles. Don't know Octavia's personality well enough to suggest one style over the other.

At least some spells still do physical damage. I feel like mages are better off against living armors than physical classes are. And it's not like a golem fight is ever mandatory. Ghosts just looove to show up and start fucking with you, though.

I guess it's French, Italian, German, Spanish, ect.

Just wondering, does anyone actually use a shield as an assassin?

Nier was the big one on that list besides Dogma. I'd said both are uncommonly good in English.

I've always thought MonHan3's localization was pretty great, too.

I've been using it since switching to assassin this playthrough. I never really bothered to get a feel for perfect blocks in my previous playthroughs (I typically spend most of my time yellow or blue), so I've been playing around with it since I have to assn for my build anyway.

The attack boost skill is cool, I guess.

It's too bad you can't really mix and match weapons that much. I wouldn't mind doing a Shield and Bow assassin, or a Sword and Staff MK.

>tfw you find a random macho fighter pawn on the street who catches your eye
>creator obviously spent time trying to make him
>decent fashion for level, bretty gud sliders
>good skillset and equipment for level
>he only has two stars in every category, doesn't seem right
>want to take him for a test drive
>only one inclination
>guardian

Ewwww.

Can't you just spam Go! a lot?

yeah you are :^)

>THEY'RE LEARNING
Earlier just as a great sacrifice charged Daimon darted behind a pillar so I had to blow an entire stamina bar to headshot him. There wasn't even a pawn he was targeting. Fuck that guy.

I mean, I suppose I could, but that would seriously screw up my own pawn's inclinations.

I know that feel
Honestly, i wish there was just an unlockable "ultimate vocation" where you could mix and match whatever weapons/skills/armor you had

TES didn't always have it. I miss Daggerfall, I know even if we got a remaster it would be shittier than the original in a lot of ways because it would be "modernised" as in adapted to what bethesda thought modern audiences wanted in 2002.

Are the elemental weapons Caxton sells after giving him the Gold Idol worth a damn?

>chest after Daemon supposedly has 66%~ change of lvl 3 weapon
>10 godsbanes later
>still the same fucking lv l2 weapon
>other chests in the room vary their loot
The fuck is this fucking bullshit?

>griffin hunt
>bluemoon tower
>pawn can't outrun griffin breaking up the walkway in the final part of the pseudo-chase sequence
>falls into the abyss
>Steffen basically instagibbed the griffin before I could even grab onto it
what a colossal shitshow

>literally unkillable wraiths
>fat ass saurians
>a fucking eliminator

Remind me again why Rotwood Depository is even in the game?
If you yourself aren't a magic vocation, you're fucked because every mage/sorcerer pawn is guardian or utilitarian or something, so they just sit in the corner with dick in hand and thumb up ass, spamming buff spells that they never get off because they cancel casting and jump away like faggot-ass rabbits if a wraith gets within 3 solar systems of them. Sure hope there's nothing valuable there, because i ran the fuck past that entire area.

Remind me why BBI is even in the fucking game?

Only "good" thing seems to be the music which at first builds it up but then it falls flat when cyclops clip through walls and dragons just rotate around not knowing what the fuck to do. The gear looks like sheit, weapons too and only area that doesnt look too bad is the one before last boss but too bad there's nothing but some fucking rooftops to jump around there!

I honestly think that making the whole area a confined Dark Souls-ish corridors was a mistake. I would love to have these corridors as dungeons instead like in open world Gransys, but it really needed some open world love too.

boobs

I love you /ddg/!

I have mixed feelings on BBI. The place is stupid hard when you first go in - shit one shotting you is pretty common, fights take ages. Once you finally get shit that can handle it they start dumping crap on you in multiples, and if you can handle THAT you start rocketing up in level and it all becomes pretty easy like everything else.

The level cap really should have been 100 or something, I feel. It would have been easier for them to balance the game that way, if only a little.

Is helmsplitter the stronkgest reliable dagger dps?

I kinda wish sorcerer got a holy damage spell that actually seemed holy
It would be nice if the magick archer had more elemental variety with it's melee skills too
Are there any skills/augments you would've liked to see in the game?

before Adhesion and Opportunism probably

after, probably Hundred Kisses

Mystic Knight gets Holy Furor, I guess?

I sort of have similar mixed opinions about BBI

I like that it was a sprawling spooky dungeon but the repeated rooms really take away how creepy it could have been because I learn the layout to an area before I've even seen it. That courtyard room is used at least once in all 3 sections of the place and I think even more

I don't mind that the gear is super edgelord or ball-bustingly powerful, but the purification system is extremely tiring especially when your most reliable method is just farming the last boss over and over. I'm sure they were trying to add "endless" content, but they went about it in the worst way.

I'm glad they added some new augments so you have ways to progress that aren't strictly gear, but they unfortunately added exactly 2 augments that are supremely powerful and useful, maybe 1 or 2 that are okay, and the rest are total shit that nobody ever uses. They exist only to disappoint you when you see them pop up on the purification screen. Ballista reload speed? Seriously?

I don't mind the crazy encounters, even the lazy ones that are just "you fight 3 of this tough enemy". You've always got the option in DD of weighing yourself down with tons of consumables and just brute forcing your way through everything. But, they didn't always do the best job of placing enemies in the environment, especially with respect to pawn AI. You get things like dragons that fall out of the sky and land on top of a 2 foot wide stone pillar. Your pawns will fight Eliminators and ogres right next to endless chasms. They stand right inside a Maneater's Exequay without any heed to it.

An augment for fighter that lets you equip another 3 sword skills if you don't have a shield
Or make it a core skill, thay would work better

Good to see you /ddg/

yes

Why does my bow do no damage to anything as a ranger, even when enchanted with what stuff is "supposedly" weak to? I'm using Dragon's Blink and tenfold flurry literally does nothing to the enemies near the end of BBI; the entire health bar is still purple. I'm level 90 and i'm still pre-daimon. I've been using red vocations this entire file; my strength is over 1000.
Is there something i'm doing wrong? My daggers (dragon's vein) do seemingly normal damage, but i thought rangers were supposed to mainly use their bow? That's like expecting a sorcerer to use curative magic.
Thanks for any help.

*my strength is over 1000 with the bow equipped

There isn't any lvl 3 weapon if it's the first time you kill him.

Tenfold is lowered damage per shot

try it with Deathly Arrow

Also longbows do mroe damage at medium range

Yes, I think so.

I like 6 and 18.

I wish there were more curved daggers in this game
All we got were the two dlc daggers, and those don't really look very good

The everfall is in the same boat: they didn't even try to pretend like they didnt copy-paste that shit
Was it laziness, or a lack of time/money? Or a bit of both? If it's the latter, then the everfall has somewhat of an excuse for being shit. BBI, however, does not.

Oh hey, are we shitting on everything the game did wrong right now?

>beat Daimon
>watch cutscene
>credits start rolling
>credits music is the same song i had just listened to for 45 minutes during the fight

I still need a drawing of my 2nd arisen someday.

Need some help getting RC.
If you want, summon Matadora, lvl 50 warrior.
I don't want to be stuck with FAT ARISEN

Hunting griffins is satisfying as fuck.

Speaking of griffons, how do I find the one on the high knoll?

Shilling.

I put a portcrystal right next to the goblin campfire. Usually a pawn will scream "Griffin !" if there is one present right after porting there.

That reminds me, do fighter pawns ever bring something more to the table than warriors? All of the fighter pawns I hire never seem to hold any aggro, so not sure what the point is.

A fighter pawn can use debilitating weapons without gimping itself as much as a warrior and is the only vocation which can inflict lowered strength.
Dragon's Maw has a metric fuckton of knockdown power no matter the weapon and can send even poisoned undead flying, similar to a warrior's Coronal Slash.
It's also pretty satisfying to see fighter pawns perfect block living armors and eliminators.

What part of the game are you currently playing?
Unfortunately, Warrior pawns lose a lot of oomph when they reach BBI, since stagger resistance values there are pretty retarded.
I would agree that Warriors are often better than Fighters during the main quest of the game though.

>Made my arisen a toned amazon goddess in skimpy clothes
>Can't concentrate on the game because of the constant boner

Post pics.

I'm at work, I will post later

Post Dragon's Dogma gif.
