I spent a day at the harbour yesterday and i've got magikarp + 119 candy
I had some before, so it was around 100 candy from the day maybe
4 days for a gyarados reliably rather than hoping to get him from an egg (which i'm hatching simultaneously anyway)

I tend to get junk mons if I use incense at home (zubats a majority of the time)

but if I'm out walking I don't need the incense because I'm encountering enough pokemons anyway
