Use the AoE on the Flashbang against Genji instead of throwing it at him directly. It also doubly helps if you have teammates shooting at him.
It may not be a hard counter, but McCree is still one of the better at countering Genjis and Tracers even as it is right now.

First person view in engine recordings aren't 100% accurate man. They aren't entirely accurate in any game ever made. MLG level jerky movements fucks it up.

McCree is great against Genji for the simple reason that you are +90% guaranteed to shut down Dragonblade if he tries to use it on a group you're moving with (the absolutely hardest to counter to Genji is a dedicated Winston though).

Genji gets such an enormous power boost from dragonblade that shutting down that tool in itself is extremely valuable.

McCree's problems right now is that fth isn't working as intended (which is honestly a minor issue) and that his ranged dps tends to be lacking. Blizzards 30 units fix was a step in the right direction but they overbuffed him.

Learn to follow a moving target.
Attack enemies from weird angles, ideally while they're distracted. in most cases this is enough for getting a kill. then you get a healthpack off them which should be enough to either continue killing nerds or disengage.
And remember, wraith-form is for getting out, not in unless you want people to follow you into your ult or something else risky like that.
