They don't really need to acknowledge Payday. Especially since the crossover was poorly done and most likely didn't work for them.

I don't even care if they have their signature masks or anything, just the 4 actors (mainly Etebari and Poitier) sitting around in the background. Both actors are relatively cheap, especially for a cameo, and it would mean a lot the fans of this franchise just having that role in a major picture.

Let them fuck around and learn the game for a few hours before you ruin their enjoyment permanently by shoving the meta and powerleveling down their throats.

Bring them into a Watchdogs normal match first, let them figure out the heist and the objectives.

Once its finished, bring them into the same heist on Deathwish and have them lead and make decisions for the team's strategy. In 1 minute 30 seconds when you fail tell them thats why they listen to you and take your advice.

Its worked for me a few times whenever I try to teach a noob pub that came from another game.

Not enough points to slosh around, might need to refine it a bit more... Forego the mines? They burn lots of points.

Remove your pumping Iron Ace, with Bloodthirst if you have a good melee like the Katana you really don't need that extra damage, all specials except dozers go down in 2 uncharged hits after the 300% buff.

With the Frenzy bug you really don't need Sneaky Bastard not to mention your fire weapons are not the greatest concealment with the exception of a pirate GL40. With that drop you can also drop Inner Pockets altogether.

For a normal heist Jewelry can actually be difficult when first starting out. Beat cops spawn higher in Jewelry heist pre assault than most others and they can have a high damage output (albeit weak as shit).

The Bank Heists are actually a bit better to teach mechanics because the objective is well near cover, and you can teach them the importance of objective completion and how kill farming isn't worth doing.

Also the curve generally sucks in this game without any DLCs because starting weapons are shit, especially with no attachments on them to buff the stats.

I don't want to rely too heavily on the Frenzy bug, it's clearly an unintended feature. However, I suppose Sneaky Bastard could be dropped entirely as long as I'm careful.
Running into issues about "Yeah you need x points spent to reach y." Is Fully Loaded Ace worth it? I tend to not use grenades often. I guess it could be justified if I decided to use ammo bags or saws.

... Apparently pd2skills is bugged and it's giving me 16 less points when I reload the link. There's also detection risk issues with the calc.

If you're going to go for a dodge build wait until it gets a buff. Joakim in a twitch stream said they are readdressing dodge because its far weaker than armor builds now.

I recommend practicing with some Infiltrator, Muscle, or Armorer builds with ICTV.

Mallcrasher is a better heist to introduce new players with, in my opinion. Planning can be difficult when you're new to the game and not entirely sure how everything works, but when your objective is just "smash stuff" it's barely a step above cowwadooty. Just remind them to stick together in case anyone gets downed, then go clean out the jewelry store and hunt for safes.

So what Payday 1 heists haven't been remade yet? I never actually played The Heist. But all the Classics line of heists are fucking great, except for Counterfeit.

I wish we had more heists like First World Bank. It's like a medium intensity heist, when everything else is either small and light like the H&T Banks or long high intensity gauntlets like Big Bank and Aftershock and pretty much anything else.

We're missing Heat Street, which is a heavy pushing heist where you run through streets that are slowly filling with cops the further you go, Green Bridge, blowing up a bridge to stop a prison transport so you can extract a prisoner, Diamond Heist, a raid on a corporate diamond vault at the top of a sky scraper during an office party, the first stealth heist, Panic Room, airlifting a vault filled with drugs and money out of a gang den, and No Mercy, the L4D crossover heist where you steal a patients blood for the virus he's carrying to sell it as a biological weapon.

We probably aren't getting No Mercy though.

They should make a heist where you're driving the big box truck from Aftershock, you gotta like drive it down the street, hitting up businesses and such along the way.

Be like a part of town with several banks and jewelry stores and such along the way, but also as you near the edge of town you have less luxurious places to knock over like standard convenience stores and maybe even a crackhouse or meth lab in the bad part of town.

Maybe you'd have to look out for hazards like you encounter in Hoxout Day 1, like spike strips and holes in the road, police cars in your way. Add like a whinch the the truck to pull it out of holes if it gets stuck and have it so you can get air dropped spare tires to change if you run over a spike strip.

According to the games code the Aftershock truck can hold 50 bags we just never have the chance to pack it that full.

And Panic Room sounds kind of like Hotline Miami Day 2 but instead of airlifting you crack the safe open and kill that fucker inside.

That sounds fucking awesome, but I'd be worried about how unoptimized it would be. Hoxout day 1 runs just fine, but shit like Birth of Sky with it's long sightlines and such run like dogshit.

The first half of the heist isn't like Hoxout. It's just a straight run to a mission point. Then you get your "truck" to escort out. Also Green Bridge is more like White X-mas if there were three plane crashes and you had to saw open each plane to find the one with Almir in it, then drag him down a cop infest bridge to an extraction point, then fight the other half way down the bridge to your escape.

Usually considered the worst Heist from PDTH, but I actually love it for some reason. When you hear Hoxton mention Matt in Hoxout, he's talking about Heat Street, where you have to chase down Matt who was your getaway driver that decided to double cross you. The heist would work almost identically to Hoxton Breakout Day 1, except it's just a straight run to the end, and then a defense section in a construction yard. Then it's an escort for a bit, like White Xmas

Honestly, I think it's most like a Transport Heist. You saw open trucks to find the prisoner and once you do, it's basically just working your way through the bridge until you fulton him out.

A fantastic heist from PDTH, but I think it'd be too easy in Payday 2. I considered it the easiest of PDTH's Heists. They could probably find a way to spice it up, maybe some bullshit way to stealth it or something.

Anything that's locked behind a dlc end up with a cheater tag, not just maps or weapons.

For skins, it's a bit more tricky since it's only the legendaries that provoke the cheater tag because of the unique weapon mods that comes with it. Using common to epic skins have no common consequences although anyone who is slightly knowledgable about skins will spot you from miles away, even without the red tag

Eh it was strange because the way to win with the roof bit was to not go to the roof at all. The cops would not spawn there then. Then have someone sprint solo up and kill the 2 cops that are always there quickly. It will then be completed without turning on the roof spawns.

Maybe it starts like a normal bank heist, maybe it could be a smaller version of the bank from Election Day, same layout as the important parts, but not in as large of a building, with a loading dock off the side, Bane says your responsible for your own getaway this time, there's a moving company next to the bank and you have to steal one of their trucks to load your haul up. Then you start driving off.

But it turns out the police set a trap for you, they've got blockades set up through town and you need to get a way out, the game puts you on a winding path through town, you pass by a jewelry store to rob with the normal Jew store loot, and as you get further to the edge of town a pawn shop, which has weapons, jewelry, loose items to grab and a safe or two in the back with either money or gold.

Nearing the end you have to escape by getting down into a drainage canal, think the Los Angeles River passing through town, I don't know if there's anything like that in DC but why does geographical accuracy have to matter?

You end up on the rural coast and find a gang hideout, where your truck breaks down conviently outside, in there are gang members, bags of coke and a meth lab. You're now far enough from the police trap that Bain can get a big electromagnet copter in to lift your truck out without being in danger of getting shot down by SWAT van turrets and such. If you want you can stay and cook meth until the truck is full with 50 bags of loot. (The level would be balanced to have exactly 50 bags across all stops including the meth ingredients at the hideout, so there's no reason to skip a place thinking you could fit more meth in)

The jewelry store and pawn shop would be optional stops, but the initial bank heist and the gang hideout at the end are required.

Game could have stuff like those FBI trucks we see on day 2 of the Biker heist being what's chasing you as you make your way down the river and snipers from helicopters.

Seriously, what's the rationale for using this mod? It makes stealth a total joke, since the ONLY limiting factor for what makes certain stealth heists difficult is the fact that you cant take out every guard you see

I wasn't aware people didn't like Panic Room, everyone I play with loved it to death. The only Heist from PDTH that I hear almost ANYONE bitching about is Heat Street, which is understandable since it could be totally unfair on higher difficulties.

Despite the first part being rushable if you're quick and smart, the escort part can be really traumatizing on Ovk +145 because of how slow it goes and the cops just never stop to deep throat your crew.

Considering the white xmas and Undercover precedent on Payday 2, it should be a lot easier to move matt. Now, if they added swat turrets on every street, that would make things a lot more interesting.

This. Stealth builds really need to be nerfed. You can have everything needed for all kind of situations (body bags + ecm buffed, silent saws for erection day day two). They're really OP right now.

Since there are no official servers and they're all p2p and user-hosted, every server is the TF2 equivalent of a community server.

If somebody wants to enable sv_cheats, there's zero reason to punish them for it.

The PD:TH versions of the tracks are available if you bought the PD:TH soundtrack.

The 2016 versions don't seem to be in the soundtrack yet. OVK devs are really fucking slow in updating the soundtrack ever.

Latest tracks I see are: Donacdum, Locke and Load, Drop Zone, and Pimped Out Getaway.

So...I guess that means the soundtrack hasn't been updated even once for 2016. Goddamn.

Newer heisters always have voice lines for the previously existing ones (e.g. Rust calling Bodhi).

It's not necessarily their decision to make.
While I'm not particularly knowledgeable about how the crossovers went down behind the scenes, I would assume that the movies' distribution companies paid for them to be added for the sake of marketing.
Now both movies are out, and neither of the distributors give a shit about them any more because there's lots of others that they have to market: Overkill would have to pay for anything new out of their own pockets.
Jimmy would probably be particularly affected by this. I imagine they'd have a hard time getting Copley back to voice him again.
