Yeah, and there's the prospect of new characters too, since they'll require less work than a "real" SG character.
That'll probably depend on how the workload balances out with their Indivisible work.

Samson might make the cut in some way..He's more about size than detail anyway.

At one point it was every Wednesday, or just a couple times a week, but after they hit spoiler territory it seems like it's just whenever.

I thought Skullgirls would be at Evo but it wasn't and I was sad.

It never is. Only the big (& most disappointing) fighting games get shown.

Past few have had a side tournament. Either in the venue or in a hotel room.

Speaking of, I know it's not really a main stage thing but I was thnking of entering Skullgirls as well at The Fall Classic. But I've never been good at these typei of fighting games. I feel in addition to my mentality issues, I've never come to recognize the metagame situations that I should. Anyone have any resources to help with that?

Well even this year's EVO still had Hotel Room Skullgirls, but that's really not worth traveling for. Ever since the whole Injustice thing we knew that EVO didn't want SG.
Even last year's side tournament was more like an apology from MadCatz for how they handled 2014's event, but SG players were already telling everyone to focus on CB that year.
So at this point, anyone that wants to play/watch SG, it's just better to support the events that actually care about it. Bring the hype to those places, and otherwise just keep having fun with friends online and at locals.

Do you know a local weekly tournament or get-together with Skullgirls in your area? Those are really your best way to warm up to offline play. Otherwise best thing you can do is travel to the tournament with a friend and keep each other company while you adjust to the surroundings.

Don't worry about losing. Truth is, that's almost a guaranteed thing. Your goal is really to learn. Play lots of matches, ask questions, meet other fans of the game. You can learn a lot in a very short amount of time in that kind of setting, which will help you train smarter at home, and make your next tournament experience a lot better.

If you enjoy playing the game, you'll have a good time. Just have fun.

It's not a state known for it's gaming community, not to mention I'm not even near the part of the state where it is thriving. There are a few decent sized locals no less than an hour away but none I've heard of for Skullgirls.

As for a friend, some of mine will play a few games with me but aren't really fighting game fiends so it's hard to get more than 2-3 hours a day in a particular game, and that's on the days I see them. They'd need convincing to go to an FGC event. I know one who'd probably go with me for Smash/SF and another who might be interested in Tekken. Only one has played Skullgirls and it wasn't that much so most of what I have learned was from losing to it in quick matches.

While I wouldn't expect to win, it's still over two months away and I'd at least like to be able to pick up a few things in that time rather than twiddling my thumbs. Attending to improve is great and all but there's always time before and after events to learn something.

So I booted up Skullgirls for the first time since I backed it way back in 2013 and I had all the DLC characters. Did they just give them all away or something?
