Don't play ranked if you're looking to learn. Stick to lobbies, so you get a much higher density of games against opponents who are not so interested in gimmicks.

I never really played much fighting games. I remember playing Tekken on the PsOne and other games in arcades. Also, about one year ago I tried SFIV at a friend's house and it was alright. I saw that SFV is out, is it better than SFIV? Any other cool games for PC? Hows is the online play with fighting games?

I only think it's a problem because grapplers can't benefit from it.
SFV is where you should look if you're a beginner and uncertain if you like the genre. Look up some videos and see if you can get it cheap somewhere.

No it's legit retarded, I've spoken with a lot of pro players who also think that about sfv. It would have been a nice counter to the mashiness of this game, but they chose to make mashing dominant by removing chip death and crippling fireballs. Who knows why
