Just to be clear, the stamina oil only gives extra exhaust, not extra KO right? The description only says "drain a monster's stamina".

It gives both.
So if you hit the head, you drain stamina and build up ko.

It gives exhaust damage on every part of the body. Hitting the head causes exhaust and KO damage

If you count them all, MHGen still has both more quests and more hunt quests than MH4U. Without counting either guild quests or deviants that is.

I've played Tri for Wii and 4U, but life always got in the way stopping me from reaching end game or post game, frankly I don't know much about this game.
