Pressure with long range normals and make them scared to jump with ball swing. Get good at canceling the swing as soon as it starts. Once you push them into a corner take them to pound town with your 1F grapple. Oh and he can hop like everyone else so he's not that bad at pressuring really.

Play sets with friends and keep trying new stuff.
Switch characters for more variety.
Ranked grind can get pretty boring when you are just cycling through your best gameplans and you don't really get to pick up on what the other player is doing.
