Probably nominally your current party leader is the "All" Servant if the slot is empty.

If they received a request, they can easily see all the servants since as you know the friend requests list has the same class icons as the friend list.

If they send a request, the servant they'll see on the box will be the one of the same class as the one that had been active in the friend list.
For example, if you go to your friend list, choose the archer list, then send a request, you'll see that guy's archer.

(At least, if they didn't change the system since the last time I checked a month ago.)
