Some special attacks go 1-2 squares in either direction of where they hit so you need to move further and faster to dodge them. Hydropump, for example, hits the spot being aimed and each region to the left and right

Only 6 pokemon will spawn while staying in 1 place over 30 minutes, but it is possible though very unlikely

Incense is 500% (5x) more effective if you are moving at 12kmp/h. Every 200 meters a new pokemon will show up.

Otherwise if you stand still you only see 1 pokemon every 5 minutes.

Just a quick PSA for you walkers, I ran about 5 miles on the treadmill today and it only increased my eggs by .2km. I think the game is using GPS as its main way of calculating distance traveled, not measuring steps like a pedometer would.

I know you can get higher CP pokemon as your level goes up, but are the base pokemon that spawn around you unaffected? Are you just as likely to find a snorlax early on as you are at level 20?
