Reminder that if you play any of these class combinations you're actively griefing anyone you play with: TE/BR TE/BO BO/TE BR/GU TE/GU TE/SU HU/GU
Leo Rivera
I'm TE/HU
Ethan Lopez
>He doesn't know the secrets behind te/br and te/gu TEBR can be acceptable on PUG environment, TEGU isn't. But I totally agree on everything else.
Matthew Gutierrez
i got ruler of destruction as a te/br in demise just now
Tyler Ortiz
>Doesn't know how Br/Gu works
John Williams
Did you just cast spells the entire time using a tattk mag? Why aren't you playing force? TE/BR is a gimp force. TE/HU is a support class.
Gavin Robinson
Lol ok
Ayden Jenkins
Actually, I totally forgot about it and was thinking on katana usage (and some person using it that way earlier today in beach). In addition I have not been asked to BRGU on a long time
Matthew Scott
No I was zondeeling and wand whacking mobs as they spawned
Easton Green
Anywan got some erp logs I can be fapping to?
Jace Rodriguez
Yeah Br/Gu is only really a thing for Elder/Loser/Maga. None of which most people do anymore.
Nolan Wood
Then sub HU, it does more wand smacking damage with attack advance ring.
Landon Butler
What's the problem with being a gimped force? Are you going to tell me you don't know how to outdamage FO with it. Nor the advantages of stacking TECH over SATK against packs of mobs. At least he doesn't need to spam ilmegid like a mindless retard. Fuck off.
No, it doesn't. It's only better against SINGLE TARGET. Tech explosion scales better against MULTIPLE targets. Educate yourself for fucks sake.
Jacob Hill
No it doesn't. Do you even know how the wand gear even works?
Jaxon Lee
>I LOVE RAPPIES Who doesn't?

I'd assume if the guy wants gameplay advice he'll ask someone who actually have any idea about what he's talking about.

Crit fields let FI/HUs deal even more DPS than you. I think its sole purpose is to make sure everyone knows FI is the DPS class and you're the actives only ever for damage class At least that DB craft is nice and the ring oh and I guess EWPPR is good for giving Forces more pp back from rod shoot
Elijah Moore
Yeah.
Owen Wood
Are you trolling or just dumb?
Kayden Anderson
What all affects PSE boosts? Does the type of elemental damage you deal affect the boosts that come up? Does having a mag cause the PB gauge boost to come up? Does killing mobs at close range make the Zero Range boost come up?
Ethan Bailey
Weather can affect the frequency of PSEs Quests have a list of what can or can't appear in them Other than that it's RNG
Ian Ross
Total RNG
Nah.
Kayden Ramirez

Ayden Jenkins
So really you have no idea what you are talking about.
Oliver Hall
Nah.
Crits don't do shit unless you're playing Fi main or Gu main.
Nathan Davis
FI/BO is outdated Granfol is outdated Invade is poop The variance for most 7-13* weapons are 90-100% with normal dex at 75/75
Camden Wood
Getting crits more often would certainly raise your average DPS, although I'm not sure anyone's actually sat down and measured how much of an impact it actually was.
Zachary Wilson
So there's no way to raise a particular boost, then? Another question, a PSE burst is triggered when any boost hits lv8, correct?
Liam White
You would be hitting 100% of your damage potential 30% more often. Without it, you would be doing damage anywhere between 90-100% of your weapon's attack value
Meaning at most crit field is like a 1% total damage increase at most, with a cooldown.
Bentley Rogers
Correct on both parts.
Ian Perez
Are there any other intricacies to PSE that I should know about?
Asher Flores
Yeah, it's really fucking bad. I hope they don't actually think people enjoy how tokyo MPA works and it's well designed or better than old maps. There being ONE single mob spawn and having to kill everything to get more mobs to spawn on the map isn't good or fun.
This, and odin, are the two new forms of "content" they've added since I came back from a 2 year hiatus, and they are the only forms of BAD and boring content I've ever done in PSO2.
Episode 4 is looking really, really bad. What the fuck is going on at Sega HQ?
Charles Young
ok shiyo
Jason Carter
No, no, you enter "Burst Chance" mode when you hit level 8. Enemies will begin to spawn one at a time constantly although in much fewer number until you trigger the burst proper, or fail.
Brandon Parker
I don't think I've ever seen someone fail a burst chance, since it spawns enemies just like a burst does.
Asher Mitchell
The Tokyo MPA format is generally preferred by the majority of the "old" player base, as it keeps everyone focused in a single tile with no possibility of "fucking up" the map by latecomers spawning shit on their run over.
Parker Hughes
I unironically enjoy the design of Tokyo free field. That said, while it funnels the entire mpa in one area which is good, the delays between clearing an area and a code spawning/another area becoming active is aggrevating and grinds progress to a halt.
Connor Perry
It's pretty rare these days, but it can happen, like if you're solo and somewhat poorly geared and defeat enemies quickly enough
Aaron Davis
I've been playing since ep1 and don't like it. Feels sloggish and delayed/boring. This is the reason why it feels slow. I've failed bursts killing over 30 enemies before, RNG is RNG.
Adam Allen
Tokyo field is the best field to date, presentation wise and design wise.
1) Best field BGM. 2) MPA doesn't run around to a million different areas look for emergency codes, the blinking yellow dots tell you exactly where you want to be, making everything more efficient. 3) No single party area boss arena meaning solo players can also fight the boss with other players. 4) Less likely to be pestered by mobs when trying to gather/fish. 5) Can roll around at the speed of sound, which is convenient and really enjoyable.
And guess what? Las Vegas is looking like it'll be even more fun.
Ryan Howard
Yes they do. The Sega cafe has one.
Brandon Cruz
Assuming people would actually play Tokyo field, you'd be mostly right. However, the design of the quest is pretty much the absolute fucking worst for someone trying to solo it, which is going to be the case for anyone running it nowadays. No boss in a single party area makes it so that you just have to go through a slog of a map to get up to 1k points yourself, which isn't enjoyable in the least.
Charles Anderson
>I actually have to fight enemies on the map instead of ignoring everything and rushing to the end Like, I get where you're coming from, but
Jason Richardson
Too fucking time consuming. No thanks.
Thomas Anderson
I personally think it'll be best if they combined the mechanics of Kuron and Tokyo fields together.
Camden Hernandez
Yeah, but can't you also see how fighting enemies for 1k points while solo might drag a bit. That's about 15 minutes minimum if you're running the map alone. That's not a fun thing to do after a while, especially when it just spawns the same mobs over and over without an ecode for a while.
Levi Richardson
I'd actually agree with most of this
But that said, I'm not going to pull any punches here, Earth's maps are the ugliest by far.
Every previous area in the game mostly got away with being low poly because they were mostly natural areas, or gigantic alien temples or space ships. It was a bit of an artistic loophole, I guess?
But they try to copy actual real life areas the game's limitations have become way more obvious. It's terribly unflattering, it's like they're lifted out of the city areas from the Sonic Adventure games over a decade ago with 60+ fps and modern shaders
Carter Young
i disagree, it's slow and boring unless you're in a 12 player MPA, and even then it isn't fun. Designing maps around people not "popping enemies far away" is ass backwards.
It's not like anyone does MPA's for free fields anyones, so why are they being designed with MPA's in mind? You'll be solo/duoing them 99% of the time playing the game. Exactly this. No, that isn't what people are saying. I always clear maps a lot and check for boxes and stuff because it's fun. I like exploring maps because it's fun(I don't care about efficiency solo). Fighting 10 HP birds that fly around all over the fucking place and not being able to skip them because nothing spawns until they die isn't fun.
Kuron is a much better way to do things. Exactly. No one does free field MPA's, you'll be with someone else less than 5% of the fucking time, they shouldn't be designed around 12 person MPA's(no content should, but that's another subject entirely).
Matthew Lopez
Best free field so far is Kuron. This is a scientific proven, irrefutable fact.
Lucas Lee
Free field spawns scale with the number of players present, and they are faster with more people, but I wouldn't say they were specifically "designed around" it
Not in the way, say, Ultimate or Challenge Quests are. Solo or even just single party can be slow, but free fields accommodate it just fine.
John Price
Tokyo field is. Old fields aren't. I don't know who whined about "people not staying together in mpas force people to" but it's shit.
Luke Hall
>Designing maps around people not "popping enemies far away" is ass backwards.
No, not really. Unless you think it's fun for everyone to run around the map and pop spawns looking for bosses, and when no bosses spawn, everyone having to go and clear them so e-codes will spawn. In which case, you haven't played in many of the older EQs where people did exactly that.
>It's not like anyone does MPA's for free fields anyones, so why are they being designed with MPA's in mind?
Let me put your question in a different way; 'why are they designing something in an MMO around multiplayer? It's not like anyone plays with other people.' They are designed around MPAs because, at the height of their usage and popularity, that's all it will be. You don't want to design something so some salty little bitch will be happy 4 months down the line when everyone's moved on, especially when it's clear that salty little bitch wouldn't be pleased no matter what they did and would instead just whine about how the map design doesn't encourage multiplayer in their MMO, probably while going 'LMAO'.
Adam Rodriguez
Even Tokyo spawns fewer enemies and easier E-trials with fewer players there. The main difference is the quest objective being solely a point goal.
Jacob Kelly
Literally everyone is going to play through Tokyo explore at some point, whether it be new or old players. Sega should know by now how free explore fields end up by now. They should know that the way they designed Tokyo will make it incredibly unfun for anyone who wasn't around for its release, or anyone who is running it later on for any reason.
Connor Johnson
All free fields are not fun when you're by yourself
The only thing the older fields offered was a way to end the suffering sooner rather than later
Christian Gutierrez
>All free fields are not fun when you're by yourself I disagree? Not much to say other than that.
If you can't see why Tokyo specifically is designed in such a way that it makes it much less fun for people playing it after release than any other field in the game, you might just be dumb.
William Watson
People shouldn't point guns at Rappies.
Jordan Morgan
I want to cum inside Rona!
Thomas Ward
Pretty much everyone runs a daily recommended free field on the lowest possible difficulty, killing the minimum number of enemies they need, and then rushing to the end
If that doesn't say enough about how "fun" they are I'm not really sure what else to tell you
