Tldr isopropyl
Tfw tree sap on car
Don't use carb cleaner like that one person said.
After you clean it you'll have to re-wax the spot because the cleaner you use will take it off
acetone
>I did it on my brand new STI
I hope it clears up, and doesn't leave any scarring. How do you deal with puss?
Detailing clay. Takes a while, but actually lifts it out of the paint.
Also determine whether your "sap" is sap or aphid shit. It's usually the latter in my neck of the woods, and a lot of the bug/tar/sap removers don't seem to work well on it.
some hand sanitizer will take it off immediately and becasue it's a goo it will stay where you place it.
>has to have isopropyl alcohol as an ingredient
Methyl Hydrate
Might fuck the paint eventually but it takes the sap and schmig right off.

>all these idiots suggesting stuff that will damage your clearcoat
Just get a clay bar kit, removing bonded contaminants is literally what it's for. You're supposed to clay before you wax anyway.
