This game has such shitty matchmaking, if it's not me and a bunch of randoms against a premade it's me being matched with shitters who quit as soon as they lose a round.

I had a game where someone from the opposition team quit and instantly someone on my team left, followed by 2 more people. I don't know if they rage quit thinking it was their own team mate that quit but I'm so fucking angry with this matchmaking system, it's a complete and utter joke.

Ranking and Deranking shouldn't be limited to if you win or lose, it should be tied to your overall performance.

If you play like shit and you win, then you derank, if you play well but you lose then you should gain XP.

How can you think of having such a stable fucking system when its forced 50/50?

To be honest, I don't think it's entirely down to weeaboos either. Genji and Hanzo are both PotG-schmuck bait heroes. Genji looks spectacular as fuck when played well (even when he isn't all that effective), and Hanzo's ult can theoretically hexakill from a safe distance.

Every pro players has said pharah is dead because of mccree. The only place where mccree does not buttfuck pharah is on console.

You just have to kindly negotiate people out of playing the bad heroes. The higher you climb the more willing people are to change for the benefit of the team, but I definitely saw the most obstinate shitters in the 50-60s range.

Mccree counters pharah far harder than soldier because it's all burst damage. The moment she shows her head she is dead thanks to mccree. No time to heal no reaction no cover no nothing. Widow was the only other hard counter to her and she is very very very map dependent now

At this point I'm convinced that matchmaking is about 80% luck and 20% individual skill.

I climbed from 52 to 62 with close to a 50% winrate and then I saw people complaining about not climbing from even having higher than a 50% winrate.

I was gaining more for winning and losing less for losing.

Then it comes down to how often the matchmaking gods smile upon you
>how many times do you have a stack on your team
>how many times are you not the underdog
>how many times does the enemy team have someone not very good dragging them down

So people who get the easy climb generally over evaluated how skilled they actually are in getting there.

Letting go of space an dropping down usuall helps you take cover very fast as Pharah.

Miracle worker for cute factor, Zuper for spamming.

You don't necessarily have to amp it up whenever you're on speed. Your teammates'll definitely notice when you switch modes, but if you don't amp, they can't move fast enough to fall into the well.
