What can Veeky Forums tell me about the LS430? Im thinking of getting one within the next year. Im tired of wrenching on projects and wanting to go fast.
I want something with a smooth ride and luxury features. Basically i want to be comfy.
Im a Toyota guy so this would def fit in.

What do you want to hear about lexus which wasnt allready said? It's so good in everything it does, it is kind of boring. It's capable in every sphere, not exeptional in any particular branch, and thats by default an achievement >most reliable modern car >plush >techy >the smaller ones are capable of fun >larger ones are comfy as fuck >prestige brand The only gripe would be their bland styling till recent years and the new ones going full wub wub robot rock.

How hard would that be to replace myself?
My truck is a dohc with a timing belt and ive replaced that before along with the waterpump.
Thats basically all i want. I want a plush dad-mobile. I may keep my 80s shitbox in storage to occasionally hoon though.
Whats a decent price? Would 10-15k be a good starting point for one with lower miles?
Jacob Williams
that budget sounds about right but miles are not that important on a lexus desu i'd recommend researching what option packages it had and find something with all the options

Guys I was looking at lower 2000 lexus models and I pretty much got to that this guy said My dad is helping me get it (I don't have quite enough for it myself) but he's insisting I look at 2007 camrys and shit because >the insurance is more expensive on these cars >they are more expensive to maintain
As far as I was aware, the price of your insurance depends on the value of the car right? so any cars valued at $7,000 will have the same rates for the same person right? This is what my friend told me anyway who drives an ls400
also I heard lexus cars don't really get any huge mechanical failiures, in particular the one I was looking at (is300). What do you guys think?
Newer toyota or (slightly) older lexus?
Nicholas Carter
Lexus, offcourse. Becasue its lexus, the best toyota can offer. Or any jap manufacturer, in fact. Camry is just uber bland for my tastes

Not sure if serious and actually retarded

cool
do you think 160k (miles) is too much? All the ones on the west coast go for ~$7k with 140k miles, this one is $6k and 160k miles, the same dealer has one for $8k and 120k miles but I believe it's also more expensive since it's a newer year
