Holy shit friends, I just got on that corolla GAME

holy shit friends, I just got on that corolla GAME

>solid build quality
>extremely smooth fuel injection
>gearshift has short, precise throws and a nice click into every gear
>everything is designed to be easy to work on
>genuine room for four adults

I always ignored these because they are so boring to look at. But damn shawty, what a hassle free daily. I'ma keep this thing for years.

They are the best cars ever

my friend has one and it's small as fuck inside. I do like how he never has to work on it or anything and the mpg is good for an old car
>had a 2003 altima
>kept fucking up every 2 months
>finally getting a new car soon

Should have bought a Civic: the thread.

Corolla > civic

literally the same thing. each one has a bit of its own issues here and there but they're basically the same, it only comes to manufacturer preference.

I had one of those. 1996 with the 1.3 liter 4EFE.
Everything OP says in green is absolutely true. Brilliant car to drive (weighs just over 1000 kg (2200 lbs) and is built solid to the core.

pic related. Me being young and trying to impress girls with ice-driving.

Is there a longer vid?

Sure.

This was taken back in 2007 or something, so the quality is shite because of that.

Before the 2000s the Civic stomped on the Corolla if you actually take pleasure in driving.
> dat double wishbone suspension

>civic
>driving pleasure
Kek

>hard plastic everywhere
>uncomfortable seats
>everything is made for tiny asian hands
>"solid build quality" lel
>"geniuine room for four adults" lel

>having no idea what you're talking about.
So fucking comfy. Even has soft touch dash.
No rattles ever.
Nothing breaks.
Truely is a car for the gods.

Non Double Wishbone Civics are trash, mayne.

Also, the Corolla hatchback/Auris has a Double wishbone rear now.

Get fucked with your trailing arms, Civicfags.

>Truely is a car for the gods.
of the trailerpark

Lol jelly?

>No rattles ever.
>Nothing breaks.
that's like unicorn corolla

every corolla i've driven creaked, vibrated, broke, and fumed plastic

>small as fuck inside
lolno? there's head and legroom for 6'3" adults front and back

>hard plastic
couldn't be more wrong
>uncomfortable seats
no
>made for tiny asian hands
no, everything has excellent tooling room
>solid build quality
every button, latch, switch, carpet, textile, and component is of extremely high quality
>room
see above

I would say the biggest (only?) downside is the gas mileage. It's not bad but I expected better from a 1.6/1000kg car. I got 8L/100km or 28 mpg from my last tank which was all commuting. My old accent of similar size, weight, and power got 6.5L/100km.

Weird. I've never ridden in a rattly corolla

>My old accent of similar size, weight, and power got 6.5L/100km.
same displacement?
would make a big difference if the accent was a 1.4 or something

the accent was 1.5, 74 kw, 1000 kg, 280km
the corolla is 1.6, 84 kw, 1050 kg, 180km

It shouldn't be that much of a difference

Guys this Corolla looks hella nice and only $2500. What do?

sarasota.craigslist.org/cto/5536206074.html

dude, even letting your AC run will make your car run on 1L more /100km.

0.1 less displacement and 50kg less bloat could really be the reason.
additionally maybe the corolla is "tuned" to be a bit more spicy than the accent

>2001
Nope
Avoid E110 (98-03)

not OP, but I have a larger buddy, probably 6'2", with a 90's corolla 4 door and it was alright. We had 4 people in the car and nobody was cramped. They make good beaters. He ran it so low on oil the oil light came on and started smoking, he just added more oil and never had any issues.

Was this the one with the headgasket issues? Or oil consumption?

Oil consumption.
Never heard of head gasket issues.
"A" block is best block

The cars with the 4A-GE/4A-FE eh? Man so anything late 90s and later is pretty fucked. At least with the 1ZZ. I have a 4AZ-FE Camry and it has the leaky valve stem seals. At least the consumption with that is minimal.

I mean 2AZ-FE.

Check it out, look around the engine bay and the hood for black shit

my friend and I are 6ft2 and when we sit the people in the back are cramped

Same height. Can't relate

>have a 1.6 E101 Corolla for couple of weeks
>under 3k rpm it stutters
>burns and leak oils
>gears go in sloppily
>interior is fugly
>stereo sucks
>central locking sucks and works every tenth time when locking

>every button, latch, switch, carpet, textile, and component is of extremely high quality

My chryslers interior feels comfier and of better quality and I really don't think so highly of chrysler interiors.

>my chrysler's interior is better than a toyota interior

!!!

A 2010 corolla's interior is way better than my chrysler's to be the most honest with you my man.

...

>>extremely smooth fuel injection
You sound like you're out of things to say.

>80s Corolla

90s shitboxes came mostly with shitty hard plastic.

No idea what you're talking about.

more than your grandparents smelly hand-me-down corolla

My 4E-FE is lazy, but it dont consume any oil. Fuel consumption is usually from 6.5 to 7.5 l/100km (5.5 l/100 once on longer trip)

>everything is made for tiny asian hands
What?! I can drive with leather winter gloves with no problem (maybe radio needs more attention then)
This car is simple. I drive it for 4 years now, and I plan to keep it.

idk i have a 2005 corolla and i hate everything about it except the steering.

the frame of the car is too thick, meaning i have a massive blindspot outside of the windshield

its raised too high

the seats are uncomfortable for tall people (i get back pain)

gross

This sounds like a butt hurt review on consumer reports.
None of that is the cars fault. You're just stupid
