Well, I've managed to add the Escalation classes to the mod roulette. let me fucking tell you, figuring out how to add the rocket launcher as an option and getting it working was a hassle, mostly because of how the Workshop throws shit into a folder of effectively random numbers.

Now I just have the rest of Grimy's classes, and all of the Long War Perk Pack to add.

The aliens won't know what hit them, because my soldiers won't even know what they're shooting.

I could, if I was writing code myself and cared to. All I'm really doing here is enumerating stuff present in other mods, simply copy/paste jobs with a little bit of figuring out what things are actually called and whether they bind to a primary, secondary, nothing, or a utility item. No actual coding on my part.

So /xcg/, what rank do you really start personalizing a new recruit? Do you layer it out, or do you decide that once they hit a certain rank you're just going to fully flesh them out?

I wait for at least Lieutenant before I start modifying recruits at all. If they live long enough to hit Major I go the full nine yards.

If they are coming on a mission, they get customized. If they have any rank other then rookie they get the full works.

It's not enough if they survive one mission, they gotta prove that they are able to survive.

Lt too, i feel like that's the point where they can survive through fuck ups, so the chances of my time being wasted customizing them are much lesser.

Then i usually leave them as they are until i unlock a new weapon tier, or if something happens to the guy like being seriously injured, or being kidnapped by Advent.

This guy was a happy guy, but he sacrificed himself to allow the A team to escape, Advent took him and after he was rescued he was never the same, now he is covered in scars and has his shit all fucked up.

MECs too, since using One For All meant that an ayy could take cover at them, and if the MEC tried to shoot them, they'd suffer the full cover penalty despite the fact that when they shoot, they will go out of one for all mode and then shoot

Okay, but I mean, the SPARK should still be able to shoot things directly next to it without giving them heavy cover. That's the bug I was referring to.

Doing it with ballistics on Legend is probably just flat out impossible. I think you could get away with it on Commander and lower, but I really don't see how you can do it without Magnetic on Legend.

You can do the mission from the moment you get it. Julian is going to rape your face a few times over but it's still beatable. If you don't feel like taking on a 90hp sectopod with ballistics and a five man squad, then just wait for mag weapons.
