That's true. Instead of a route each girl gets their own arc and you basically just go through each girl's arc and then get a choice to fuck them or not. If you pick a girl it eliminates later choices but you get an extra scene or two with them later on and their ending.

Yes, that's how it works. Sharin no Kuni is alright. Let's say 8/10 or so with average being a 7. Maybe an 8.5 if you're feeling generous.

Your choice of heroine is largely irrelevant, likely because the game is written around main heroine Natsumi. Who is trash. Only token acknowledgement is given to the other two heroines you can date before her once you've gotten past their arcs. If you haven't picked either of them you're faced with a last minute choice between Natsumi and two other endings which I guess I shouldn't spoil.

I should note that if you're going in expecting something built around romance you're going into it for the wrong reasons. There is love and sex, but they're honestly not that important to the main plot.
