the S2000 in literally every regard

this

what about current year miats vs s2000

2009 S2000
>237 bhp, 50/50 weight distribution with limited slip differential

2005 Mazdaspeed mx-5 miata
>173 turbo hp with (a shitty) LSD

2016 Mazda mx-5 GT
>155 bhp with no LSD

Not even close

2016 mx5 has an LSD in the club package

honda it actually makes power and when people.

200 whp from a na 2.0(2.2) 4 cylinder.

ignore the

> and when people

part

True.
It's still $28,000 and for that price you can buy an immaculate S2000 which has 60 more hp and is actually designed to race.

>60
*80

no argument there.

used will always be a better value than new

>80
*92

202 actually, at the wheels. When brand new.

alright well we're comparing crank hp to wheel hp then. the miata doesn't make 155 to the wheels.

S2k is the car miata owners wish they had

no, this is

s2k is too pigfat

>s2k
>better base
>still more comfort than lotus
>similar performance
>much better reliability
>cheaper

Except price

>S2k is the car miata owners wish they had

as a miat owner i really don't want an s2k, i'd rather just get an FD Rx-7 or wait for the new Abarth 124

>buying a used s2000
There's no such thing as a clean s2000, every owner beats the shit out of them.
Also a new miata will last you 150-200k miles no problem.
A used s2000 with 80k miles on it will only last you another 70k without needing some major TLC.

>better base
s2k is 750 lbs heavier than an Exige and makes less power. not sure how you think it's a better base. honda fanboyism I suspect

>muh comfort
miatafags don't care. also that is why you have a second comfy car. it's not a daily

>similar performance
kek

>much better reliability
debatable. toyota vs honda for reliability is a tossup

>cheaper
yep

Miata wins in daily driving ability.
Better mpg, cheaper, more common and available new

mx5 has better handling and would win on a tight track

Thats gonna be a bitchin 70k miles tho

Miata has a ton of body roll.

special snow flake aspie brings $50k track car into debate

Saturn. Duh.

This is the absolute truth.

/thread

>denial

honda

I'd say S2K since it has more tuning potential, but Honda isn't even trying anymore, so fuck them.

$35k new s2000 vs $25l new nc miata

$15k todays s2000 prices vs 6-9k todays nc miata prices

Like comparing a 50,000 dollar new car to an 85,000 new car

2/10 B8 MATE

ITT literally 3 anons posting. Including me. And I'm just here laughing at your honda shoebox.

Please, do compare these two. Keep going. It's entertaining.

It can't even beat a slobaru round VIR I don't fancy it's chances against an S2000 on any track.

what...

then compare it to an ND. S2000 still wins nigger.

not on my watch you cuckolded son of a bitch

motortrend.com/news/2016-mazda-mx-5-vs-2015-subaru-brz-comparison/
>1:29.91 for the MX-5, 1:31.27 for the BRZ.

youtube.com/watch?v=wC4xAArXCTY
>miata is the faster one

youtube.com/watch?v=r2qL9mmBW4I
>miata is the faster one

now fuck off with your buyers remorse, cuck

So it is a toss up with the second slowest "sports car" in production?

Congrats. Remind me again how it stands a chance against an S2k?

None of those stats are true.........

This is literally a made up false infographic that can be fact checked in seconds.........

Remind me again on how that isn't off topic bait?

Vs 1:35 for an S2000 type s
fastestlaps.com/tests/njcangiscpei

honda shit btfo

and the MZR with more hp than regular miat is slower. lmao

>fastest laps
Not hard to find the bus rider

Honda always wins with Toyota when it comes to reliability but that doesn't mean Toyota is bad. It's amazing.

These two just crush all the others.

Project more, ass mad honda fanboy

Everybody wins.

prove it otherwise bus boy. O wait, you can't ;^)

> get mad at facts
> throw butthurt insults around
Roflmao kid stay upset

Bullshit. Mine was immaculate when I got it (Suzuka Blue 2004 bought in '13) and I kept it that way.

And they'll take enthusiastic driving. Sure, you thrash anything or race it and things will break, but these cars aren't fragile.

Biggest two issues to look for are the trans and the power top. Money shift anything when the engine spinning at 8k and damage is gonna occur obv, and the top is the one weirdly over done part of the car and is expensive to replace.

Not really a loser between them but if you can find a clean one and go into it knowing you're getting a ten + year old sports car instead of a brand new one w/ warranty, go for the S2000.

Motor has no torque but it screams once you wind it up, gearbox is a gem, and the interior layout is just about perfect.

It is more oversteer prone at the limit, the top is expensive to replace, and it is a snug fit so be forewarned.

Other than that though its a ten or so year old Honda that just so happens to be a great sports car.

yeah the fact that you're a bus rider

lmao get rekt child

power to weight ratio you fucking retards

Shit taste fag....

S2000 because NA life is best life.

Which car is still around though?
