That'd be because they are. No one should say Seregios for anything other than progression. It doesn't match deviant axes. Both Silverwind and Hellblade are better than Seregios

The shell just clamps down, so it really doesn't matter. In fact I always leave these on and it doesn't make a difference and they've never left a mark. I actually doubt the psp stick would be taller than the touchpad bezel.

Fuck Glavenus, I have the same problems with Jho, trying to hit his chiken legs and then he takes two steps back and is at the other end of the room and hits you from there.

I've been using SA since P3rd, and I've always felt that SA is usable in either mode, depending on what's appropriate for the situation. Both the overhead strike and the endless combo that consumes stamina are fantastic in axe mode.

Yes, sword mode is absolutely broken in Generations with guild style+demon riot+energy charge, but I don't understand why everyone acts as if that has made anything else less viable. If you can stand to play 500+ hours in guild style demon riot sword mode mashing X to do the vertical combo, then more power to you, I guess, but you're ignoring over half the weapon's moveset and all of the other styles and hunter arts.

In 4U I brute forced Jho with IG out of frustration.

It probably got worn in from 600 hours in 4U. I had shit responses in certain directions. Now it works fucking perfectly.

Both my O3DS and my N3DS have a9lh on them, the N3DS is honestly really nice, I don't know how ever played on that tiny thing, but I keep it around as a spare to let others play

Slow down there partner, Generations doesn't get N3DS buffs and is hard locked at 30 fps. It just barely runs any more consistent than O3DS.

There's literally no reason not to. It's just a couple lines of code to enable less texture compression and to allow it to tap the extra hardware power to keep the frames steady.

I never said anything about axe mode being less viable, it actually got some nice buffs. But even without taking into account the crazy buff synergy of demon riot (like if you're using Aerial or Adept stye) the fact that you don't have to leave sword mode means you pretty much never should.
Axe mode is decent on its own, yes. It has a couple nifty traits that sword mode doesn't have like increased range and mobility. The problem is that sword mode has plenty of range on its own and the mobility is often made irrelevant because if the monster isn't in range of an EE roll then it's much faster to just sheathe and run at the monster than take the time to switch forms and chase it down with your weapon.

If you want to play the whole game in axe mode then that's your prerogative, and hey you even just got some great buffs, but axe mode has never been favorable over sword mode given the choice and the gap has only grown wider in this game.

Its not. Graphics are the same as well as framerate. Both are at 30FPS with framerate dips. N3DS just has no pop in and slighty better load times

I was only concerned about sword mode's viability because of the garbage poison phial in the otherwise decent narga swaxe, but I've already started making the Elite Switch Axe as an interim weapon until I can get the steve axe. I'll save my leftover narga parts after the armor for something else I guess, like expert jewels.

The point was that sword mode is effectively always appropriate. I encourage you to play the game however you prefer though. This is just a PvE game after all.

Well just fucking use Guild Style you fucking twits.

But with energy charge, you can be in sword mode ALL THE TIME, and I find sword mode to be boring and slow. I only use it for going ham on stationary targets like a knocked-down monster's head or tail. I have a much easier time evading and repositioning in axe mode, and being hit less means that I can stay within range and continue to hit it.

I'm sorry user, I'm not trying to argue. I know you're right, I know where you're coming from, I just don't find endless sword mode to be fun, though the uppercut attached to sword mode's aerial evade is fun af, sadly you can't have both energy charge and demon riot in that style.
