I haven't played this game in a while, and coming back for the Splatfest reminds me why. Pure competitive shooters stress me the fuck out so much it isn't funny.

I'm on the verge of biting my gamepad after a series of losses. I'm still 50 points away from royalty, but I'm tempted to call it a night and see if I wake up in the morning early enough to try and get the rest of the way. From my current performance it'll need 20-30 more matches to get there.

Servers will typically stay up for years after a game is released - Nintendo won't just drop the ball on 4 and a half million users on something that isn't particularly costly
