Anyone have any recommended videos?

This meme is fun

>have dealer drive it home

that was your first mistake.. you're supposed to figure it out on the way home

just take it to an empty parking lot for an hour, you'll get it

>release the clutch to the point where it bites
>give it a little gas
>when you start moving forward give it more gas and release the clutch

thats how my driving instructor taught me, in time you dont even think about it anymore

>he actually bought a compass
Worst shit sold by fca.

>bought a Jeep Compass

You have bigger problems than not knowing how to drive a manual....

Ask your wife's boyfriends for lessons over the weekend.

Also
>buying a jeep
Might as well have bought a miata you cuck.

You know you dun goofed when lpg says so.

1. Go to parking lot
2. Practice getting going using only clutch until you git gud
3. Never do this again because it rapes your clutch, but teaches you your clutch's bite point
Congratulations you can now drive manual

>2. Practice getting going using only clutch until you git gud
Impossible if your engine lacks torque.

Please tell me you at least got a killer deal on this thing user.

It basically seems like the worst Jeep you can currently buy. 5 speed transmission in a 2016 car and a 4 cylinder... it sounds kinda sad.

False, I have done that in an NA Miata.

In a higher torque car #3 is fine for crawling in traffic (moving up a few feet), adjusting parking and so on.
You can easily do it in gutless shitboxes but it takes so long that it isn't worth it.

kek you beat me to it.
but seriously
>buying a Jeep Compass
>ever

Bullshit, I can do it with a fucking 3.0 ranger, they are the definition of gutless.

I learned how to drive manual yesterday in my friend's sw20.

It wasn't difficult, it's just something to get used to doing

Go ahead sempai, tell me all about why this shitbox is so shit.

>Buying a manual without even knowing if you'll like it
>Buying a Chrysler vehicle
>Buying one of the worst Chrysler vehicles
>Buying an American car with a manual transmission

literally kill yourself

Christ alive you are right.

I have a 5.0 explorer modded with torque monster headers for ~325 ft/lbs and then theres my 3.0 ranger..... fuggg.... gonna sell it cause I just cant. not enough power.

Don't worry about it. I sucked my first week of driving MT. I've been doing it for about a month and half now and still have some jerky starts and shifts. I was driving with a coworker the other day who has been driving MT for 40+ years and he ground going into 3rd. Even experienced drivers make mistakes sometimes.

unless you got a damn good deal on it, jeep compass is a pretty meh car.

OP here, just got back from visiting mums

Some fag overtook me so I went back to 4th gear and oh shit that was amazing when I saw the look on his face when he thought I was an auto

got it for 7k (+tax) 109k miles

Yea it's getting easier now, learned yesterday too.
Still getting stuck sometimes but this time I know to calm down

Yes yes... soon you'll be stoplight racing in your 4 cylinder Jeep! The transformation is nearly done!

I went from a foxbody to the ranger. Theyre not that bad once you accept you're practically never passing someone.

4 cyl foxbody is pretty shite as well
