i'm running a terrarria server for friends and i've had the fucking map get corrupted (file corruption not videogame corruption) twice in a row today, one when we started playing and again when we stopped.
I spend like 30 mins or an hour digging out a gigantic square room to eventually build into a mob grinder after the others left and then I exit with my character and have the server save+exit the map and when it goes back to the menu the world is fucking gone from the "pick a world to load" list
the only reason it isn't completely gone is because i had an automatic windows backup at like 2am today so i can get the file from there
seriously though how the fuck does the file get corrupted twice in a row is this a known issue am i fucking something up somehow

That's one of the reasons I can barely play Terraria. I get hung up on realism and trying to make sure everyone has their own beds and tables and chairs and bathrooms and shit and I just don't have the stamina to build 20+ full houses or even apartments/tenements/flats.

I like to use cheatsheet to just augment some homebuilding at the start while I play through content normally, so I can just have access to all blocks and tools to help build the practical and the fancy in my town area or in wild areas without using a map editor over and over. Been playing so long it's just a relief to do what I like the most, streamlined.
So I can iron out a cool tiny stone keep that doesn't look like mono commie garbage in one night instead of twenty. And get on with my life.
