Since I'm new to the game, I've got a few questions.

First off, is this game Acheage levels of P2W? I can understand grind, but if it's P2W then I'm out.

Secondly, is it dying or does it still have an active playerbase?

Third, are dungeons and PVP active?

Lastly, keep which character for summoner?

For the most part, it's Pay2NotGrind, so not really.

Playerbase is fairly active, especially with the server links they implemented recently.

Dungeons are active; PVP is pretty bad but still alive for now.

Both are pretty good, as long as you have a matching cat.

P2W is considered pointless and if you are willing to sacrifice your life for the game, you can catch up with paying players.
And the game is alive as long as we have people paying... Should last another few years at bare minimum.

Nope. Though you may suffer trying to upgrade your gear, you don't have to use a single dollar to get someting. Literally everything can be acquired using in-game currency.

It's not p2w. The grind is tedious, however.

Don't know about archeage but you can literally buy your way to maxed gear and there are a lot of P2W events.
Not that you can't grind efficiently as a F2P player.

Game is still fairly active but the player base has dived since it's release. I don't see it dying off anytime soon though.

Dungeons are active. You might have to pug a lot though if you want to grind hard.
Dunno about PvP as such myself.

I dunno, both are fine, I prefer the one on the right of the two though.

not exactly, but it's pay to not be miserable. you will have to shell out money if you don't want to grind obsolete content. following that to its logical conclusion, yes, you can buy the best gear if you're willing. costumes are 20 dollars to start.

well it's barely six months old and they've already merged servers. there should be enough people for a couple more years though.

dungeons yes, but PUGs have ludicrous standards for joining, in the way that PUGs in MMOs tend to. PvP, ehh, you can arena if you want but that's basically it. there is nothing in the way of support for a PvP community.

Daily reminder that being in a static is not an excuse to neglect the community. I'm talking about the kind of person who solely run 4man with their static and only join the plebs for daily challs.
