If you want to make gobs of money there ARE alternatives. Make an Alien tree farm. 160 pixels each. Raise robot chickens and sell the batteries. Hell, farm in general.

Build turrets and farm kills from animals for the pixels and loot they drop. It may take a little work but isn't that part of the fun?

I'm guessing it's supposed to be 3 eyes to make the front end of the ship look like a hylotl, but since you never actually get to SEE the frace of the ship, it just looks stupid.

The best way to make money before I found out about the ornate wood thing was asteroid mining. Gold ore refines for 10 pixels each, silver for 8. In asteroid fields you can find deposits big enough to yield over 500 pieces of ore, and mining it takes a relatively small amount of time.

One simple 10 minute trip can easily give you up to 10-15k pixels. I mean, yeah, it's not literally printing money like ornate wood was, but that's still a lot of pixels for a relatively short amount of time invested.
