I can't even stay alive. Takes forever to get to where I can block after an upstab combo and the dodges are so short without evade extender I feel basically immobile. And even after I successfully block I lose half my stamina because of it.

I posted yesterday stating how I'm attempting to learn Lance and struggling with it. I am still struggling with it today. However, I think I found my problem.

I'm playing it too much like SnS. I feel like with the shield and the triple hop, I can easily escape any situation unharmed. I'm also still trying to get used to countering things.

Anyone know a good way to get out if this mindset? And should I be working on my position more than reacting to moves?

How do you use the great sword and command damage? I tell my hunter to command damage, and command him to roll, but he's too slow. Agile monsters, aka all monsters are able to dodge around and perform 2-3 attacks while I sit around and nigger out.

Fighting gore magala, simply fight, extremely long tells and if I were using any other weapon, aka a weapon that obeys the commands, it would be simple.

The greatsword is too fucking SLOW, how are you supposed to fucking hit some WALKING monster that's exhausted when it just FUCKING WALKS OUT OF MY CHARGE

I'm getting so fucking mad being bored and doing nothing but dodging, and then occasionally take some damage. I demand damage be done, and in order for that to happen, great swords NEED TO FUCKING BE FASTER. It cannot take 5-7 seconds for a level 3 charge, it has to fucking happen sooner.

I'm just about to break this fucking game for being so fucking unfair. Why do I need equipment skills to fucking move around normally?
