Aight so you got a blue pot. I don't know which mat you used first, but it's either darkness or water and the second mat is gonna be fire or water.

The purple potion is easier since you only got 1 element per mat so it's just a matter of remembering the order you plunked them. As I am assuming that based on the order you put them in locks in that mat as a certain element.

So for example say that soup was placed in first, then it's automatically fire and the nail is water. So even if you put in the same mats but reversed it would be read in the first order you put them in to produce the purple potion

As for your next move I'd say combo the hair and Albert to see what you get.

Since you got a purple pot it means those materials to create it are confirmed for those elements. Which rules out the combo of double water for the blue pot meaning confirming you a dark element and now you just gotta figure out if the second material for it is water or fire.

i'm certain that order has nothing to do with it, because there is no result for water + fire, only fire + water.

I think I figured it out, you have to match c against d, and the only way you'll get the answer is if you get poison. I think you are not 100% guaranteed to get the answer in under three tries every time you do the puzzle. Can someone prove me wrong?

Nailed it. The correct answer was to check against c. I unfortunately lost all my notes with my reasoning, but it said red, which means

>a is fire
>f is dark

The only thing that you can be unsure of is whether b or e is fire or water, but you have two guesses for a reason. I wimped out and just doublechecked everything, though.
