AFAIK the game is dead, Fidera is triple dead, I think people at least log in every month or so on Secura. There's new client coming out or something though so maybe when that becomes standard people will play, at least should get rid of botters for a while. I haven't been playing myself at all either way and I'm pretty sure it's dead

If you find PotD more tolerable/less boring than standard dungeons or FATEs, then it's good for leveling. You'll sacrifice a bit of speed for actually getting decent rewards (Grade V materia to either use or sell, easily a 235 weapon for any class that you level to 60 through PotD).

Conversely, if you think PotD is anti-fun garbage, then just forget that it exists and level some other way, because there are other ways to get materia/gil and good 235+ weapons.
