wouldn't it reflect it better? the wording is different but isn't the nuance to an english speaker closer? having "I’m getting stupiddd!" just sounds odd in the flow. if we were really just going for a one-for-one translation we'd have nonsense phrases like "I stupid become" instead.

When I said "reflect the Japanese", I meant "reflect the meaning the Japanese is conveying", and to that end "I'm losing my mind" would not reflect it pretty much at all because バカになっちゃう carries the meaning of literally becoming stupider and "losing my mind " carries the meaning of going crazy, two distinct meanings. Sure, "I'm getting stupid" sounds odd and "I'm losing my mind" sounds good, but one is a correct translation and the other is a wrong translation. Would you rather have wrong translations that sound nice or correct translations that sound odd? That's a serious question by the way. All the "side by side" translations I see posted all over the place has given me an embedded habit of sticking to the original meaning if at all possible, since that's what I feel people would prefer, but if you'd all rather it be plain wrong just to sound better than I can do that.

I don't like the idea of deceiving people, that is, if people want correct translations I don't like providing wrong translations simply because they won't be able to tell the difference.

Desire is the first game with the war system, but it seriously fumbles around with it looking for its form and various other imbalances to its gameplay system, basically Empire fixes the bad parts of Desire. All the other aspects of Desire are your usual corruption VB.

Which endings tend to be better in Venus Blood, law normal or chaos? No spoilers please, I just have no idea what the differences will be.

It's not like I can read it either. I just keep the wiki handy and pattern-match heiroglyphs using the pictures as a guide. All items are laid out in a grid in rank order that make it really easy to tell what's what and the wiki tells you what they do. Pretty much the same for character skills when you want to add them to units.

They both have their own merit. And by normal I hope you meant law ending since some game do have normal ending and they tended to be the shittiest ending.

The only advanatge to normal ends are that they occur around the end of chapter 5 so if you want to do a new game+ fast, you can. Chaos routes are often a bit edgelordy, honestly.

Persoanlly,, I play the absolute shit out of most of them and you need several runs to unlock everything and tune up an army, so it doesn't really matter from that point of view. If you only want one ending, decide whether you want edgelord or not. If two, chaos then law is probably going to feel more satisfying.

LAw routes tend to unlock character titles, though, which is a signficantt power boost on subsequent runs.

Thanks for the replies. Chaos vs law is really the only thing I didn't understand from the tutorial. Since NG+ makes it easy to get different endings I won't worry too much about it now. Was thinking I'd have to replay the whole game from the beginning, base everything, to get different endings.

By the way, in Empire, Goddess law and chaos point don't actually affect your route, only global law and chaos points do, which you get from choices during events.
