Egyptian Pyramids weren’t built by slaves

In 2016, even after the fall of Mubarak, people still are still hyping the myth that that slaves didn't build the pyramids.

When will this meme fucking die?

>First Things is an ecumenical, conservative and, in some views, neoconservative[1][2][3][4][5] religious journal aimed at "advanc[ing] a religiously informed public philosophy for the ordering of society".[6] The magazine, which focuses on theology, liturgy, church history, religious history, culture, education, society and politics, is inter-denominational and inter-religious, representing a broad intellectual tradition of Christian and Jewish critique of contemporary society.
>Jewish
hmmmmm

FFS why do people still believe that bullshit?

"show me anywhere in the world where the like of the Pyramids exist?"

Uhhh, Mesopotamia? Indonesia? Mesoamerica?

Does that retard even know that WEgyptian pyramids where based on Mesopotamian designs?

I swear to god these people are retarded

Why do we even give tribue to these anti-intellectual, uninformed, ignorant "revisionists"? We only do them a favor by talking about their nonsense, the best way to avoid this kind of lunacy being prompted within historic discussion, is to simply avoid discussing it.

To this day, I haven't met a single person in real life that believes this kind of idiocy.

Even Europe and North America.

China has pyramids?

Properly called a Tumulus.

yus

>singling out the jews when a christian conservative presidential candidate for the 2016 election thought that the pyramids were grain silos

#jewsdindunuffin

slaves built storage houses and gathered crops
the pyramids shit was made up European jews to try make themselves relevant during a time they didn't even exit yet

the Jews that were in Egypt were brown and black people

The article is about whether the people building monuments were enslaved or not. Christians don't particularly care about whether the Israelites were enslaved or not, as Jesus is meant to the saviour of all humankind.

However, the *entirety* of the Jewish faith rests on the assumption that their ancestors made a covenant with God on Mt. Sinai, which happened right after they were "freed from slavery" in Egypt

Well no shit. They were built by paid laborers.

>granaries

willing labor so is much easier to manage. they can also be trained and depending on to do complicated and exacting work.

>conscripted labor paid for by tax money

Italy has more pyramids than any other country

>willing labor so is much easier to manage. they can also be trained and depending on to do complicated and exacting work.

This. What you do is just tax them so much that they can't survive the entire year on what they keep. Then during pyramid season you give them back some of their tax money and throw a party for them so they feel good about it if they come work for you.

this
people seem to think conscription is the same as slavery

these were farmers mostly who would work building the pyramids during the off season when they couldn't farm, in exchange for things like rent, food, and other such things.

if anything it was closer to serfdom rather than slavery as they were not the property of the King.

The Jewish identity only appear almost 1500 years latter after the pyramids, even for the Egyptians of 3rd Intermediate Period they were ancient history.

I was only mentioning the prevalence of slavery in the ancient world societies, so it's almost impossible to determine if slaves may have been employed in construction of the pyramids. Like the first article says, the "no slaves theory" is a fallacy and nothing more than political propaganda.

>in exchange for things like rent, food, and other such things
But this came from taxes that came from farmers in the first place.

The alternative was having your entire peasant population idling during the Nile's flooding like European peasantry did during winter in medieval times.

Don't the pyramids in Bosnia pre-date all the others?

pls no

Fucking Nod.

Which means the meme that peasants should be happy to work on the pyramids, drink beer and eat meat is retarded. They could have idled and done those things.

Nah in Europe the cold of winter kept the peasants in place but no such thing in Egypt. They could get uppity in their idleness.

shhhh, those 10000 year old underground inverted pyramids were the reason why turks wanted to take Bosnia

Either way, those workers were fooled into building useless heaps of stone. At least for them.
For us they are quite interesting and nice to visit
