Oh hello

Are station wagons a good alternative for a cuckshed? My wife locked mine because she was frustrated at me taking night drives and wasting money on gas when she needed new lingerie for the upcoming weekend.

I'm technically not allowed on Veeky Forums but I thought I'd get your guys' opinion before I ask Sven if I could lease his step son's Volvo wagon.

I am thinking about picking up and old hearse once I get back to the mainland.

>about half of these cars are USDM
>mfw

Do any american companies make wagons anymore or do they only make those stupid crossovers?

It's mostly crossovers, but some still make wagons (Dodge Magnum, Caddilac CTS, just to name a few)

Both are discontinued

I was unaware, in that case yeah it's basically moved on to crossovers

>expensive like German cars and shitty interiors
>posts a volkswagen

>a rare photo of a BTCC 850 wagon with the rear bumper still intact

Holy shit, that is superior indeed.

Since this is a station wagon thread:

For every version of a sedan that also has a station wagon -- ie, impreza, jetta/golf, e-class, accord, etc etc: Why would you ever buy the sedan? The wagon offers more space, more versatility, and more comfort than the sedan. I like wagons, so I also think they are cooler, but that's my personal opinion that I'll leave out.

What reason would anyone have to buy a sedan over a wagon, other than some hardcore performance reason (I guess a slightly shorter wheelbase, a bit less weight and better aero characteristics?). And in that case why not just buy the 2-door. For your practical driver though -- why not a wagon? And also, to tie into that, why doesn't every auto manufacturer offer a wagon counterpart to every sedan? Why not an accord wagon any more, or a camry wagon? I think I'd be a terrible automobile marketing person, because I don't understand the role of the sedan when compared to the wagon, which is probably related to my lack of understanding of the consumer.

That said, I've been seeing a lot more golf wagons and jetta wagons on the road lately. I think the 2020's will see a resurgence of a station wagon as Americans move away from large (what we call "midsized" or "crossover") SUVs.

Honestly some wagons just look weird and some owners don't want their car looking weird. Plus a lot of people think wagons are outdated compared to suvs and crossovers, and even less family friendly than minivans.

Which is all kinds of stupid, wagons are shorter so they are less likely to roll over when with stuff on the roof, a decent one can do some light towing(still not a great idea but not a horrible one if you don't plan on going up or down hills) still have a slight more sporty feel compared to a minivan, suv or crossover, with it being lower you are less likely to run over you kids when backing up since you can see them a hell of a lot easier, they usually get better gas mileage compared to suvs and crossovers, shit i just realized you asked about sedans and not crossovers, mostly that sedans are the businessman's car, show up to pick up your boss in a wagon and you'll never get that promotion

The only reason i see getting a full size sedan over a wagon is they aren't offered or they don't like how they look

Have you ever driven with an eyepatch before?

Damn right for a Saab.

They made them for the first gen 9-5 as well, see

6/10 for comfyness

the rest is, well, not so good.
