Peugeot 907
V12 500bhp

I never see the point in those show-off cars when the brand will literally never have the balls to pull off something spectacular.
it's not even usable as inspiration for a watered-down version. shit's just pathetic hot air.

as a fan of any v12 front engine im still hard in pain knowing that this beast exist only in museum... Peugeot need some balls to make it real...

the homer

>make contact

>Peugeot need some balls to make it real...
Which will never happen.

It's like Peugeot gets constantly cucked, same with Opel.
Countless times there were attempts to make Opel great again but mother GM won't let them be hardcore

loved this one as a kid in gran turismo

wtf they would never release this?

>autobild
Stop posting the terrible photoshops from automotive clickbait

That twingo came from the moon!

Didn't this basically become the Solstice?

I got bit by a copperhead once.
It was excruciating.

Lada X1/X2 '86

Does it reflect radar?

>bmw what are you doing

>Dodge Copperhead
>a Mopar product
>Pontiac Solstice
>a GM product

hnnnnnng

They WERE going to put the Copperhead into production. It was going to slot above the Plymouth Prowler and below the Viper.

So what happened? The Copperhead had the misfortune of being shown off around the time Bob Eaton sold Chrysler to Daimler. Mercedes/Daimler saw the Copperhead as a legitimate threat to the Mercedes-Benz SL and promptly killed it. When the engineers argued over it, mercedes gave them an SLK and said "Make a Chrysler or something out of that."
And that became the Chrysler Crossfire, named for the internal battle of Chrysler engineers vs Daimler beancounters and execs.

Fucking Benz ruined everything. The ME412 for example was killed because benz git scared out of their minds. How could America make a supercar better than theirs?

I'd rather have Chrysler spend its last days pumping out mentally insane cars like copperheads, vipers, demons and the ME412.

>Copperheas
>Demon
>ME412
all killed to protect Mercedes-Benz.

This is like when GM killed off shit like the Pontiac Banshee to protect the Corvette, but on a worse scale. Mercedes basically said "You're not allowed to have any fun"

Speaking of which. You can really see how paranoid Daimler was. Take a look at the Plymouth Prowler for example. It was put into production in 1997, before the Daimler buyout.
no 1998 model year Prowler. They were worried it would battle the SLK. It went back into production in 1999 when they noticed everything was already in place for it and the car hadn't paid for itself yet. When it did finally pay for itself (2001), they ended production.

How about the 4 door "Corvette" Charger?

That would've gone into production using a slightly modified LH platform. The LH platform was designed with the possibility of an FR car in mind, hence the longitudinal FF setup of all the LH cars.

Look closely and you'll see a LOT of similarity between the 1988 Lamborghini Portofino concept that became the LH cars, and the 1999 Dodge Charger concept car.

What the thunder bird could of Ben

What is even the point of concept cars?
Like .1% of them ever get produced and it's always the worst designs that do.

To show off what the company is capable of
To test new ideas
To test the public's reaction

Making a single eye catching million dollar concept vehicle is cheaper than spending a billion dollars to put a vehicle into production that then flops.
Example: The Chevrolet SSR.

The Mercedes A-Class had this diamond grill that looked baller as fuck during the concept but was intended to be abandoned for the production model because lel concepts, except it was so well-recieved they had to work out a way to make it work IRL

...

It's a conspiracy!

...

It's like Homer's car, my god...

stop your autism fits. it looks cool, that's enough reason to post it

want

>Fucking Benz ruined everything

As much as I love Mercedes and the cars they produce, i also hate them.

>They are the reason we cant import awesome cars from other countries

>No ME412 another reason

>No Copperhead.

Its like, if anyone builds anything remotely good, mercedes jumps on the band wagon and goes "NOPE SORRY. NOT GONNA HAPPEN, DO SOMETHING ELSE". Its like they think they own the automotive industry.

>Pontiac Banshee

Looks like a futuristic F-body camaro.

>already knew about the Copperhead
>google for the Demon concept and ME412
>mfw I have no face

Goddamn, I didn't know any of this. I'm mostly a GM guy (or rather, fan of the various brands GM has killed) who knows about all the cool shit that was killed to protect the Corvette, but had no idea Chrysler had the same thing going on with Mercedes.

...

It was gonna be a Corvette killer. Ironically, concepts like the Banshee are why the F-body twins even exist (instead of being just the Camaro)- Pontiac wanted to make a sports car forever and GM wouldn't let them, eventually giving them a Camaro and telling them to make their own body for it, because that's all they were gonna get.

Jesus Christ my dick is diamonds

CITROEN!

>Dodge EV

It's literally a Lotus Europa S.

Don't forget the Shelby GR-1.

That looks like something a Power Ranger would drive 10/10

>Dodge Razor
>another concept promised for production and then killed because Mercedes got scared of SLK competition

My dreams of the perfect car.

So does this

It's almost like twingo's future robocop cousin.

>1.4L I4 Turbo

This thing pisses me off that it never went into production. Fuck Daimler for and it's bullshit reasonings.

Looks soo stupid and hotwheels like. DO WANT

It's weird, stupid, and I want it

>tfw it's destroyed forever

...

Didn't top gear kill this?

The magazine, but yes. It died in a blaze of glory.

Could have been an "affordable" supercar. Also could have been one of the fastest cars of its time while being cheaper than the Mercs that were probably half as fast.
And that was the reason merc killed it, got too scared of all the insane shit Chrysler started pumping out, thinking that they might endanger mercs US sales or even worldwide ones.

Well, basically inventing the car will do that to you.

>mfw i would have bought this around 10 years ago
>mfw i would buy this today in updated form
