No. First off how the fuck are you going to pay for that and secondly you need big boys for anti large infantry. Also you need cav. Doom divers are good too. Some black orcs are nice and a must for armored factions.

I like using bright wizards and exalted champions in battle. Necromancers are good, too.

What are some good campaign strats for Empire? I'm a new shitter and have been rolling through everything on normal and I'm assuming thats because VC are broken since I don't have to worry about morale while spooking the shit out of everyone else. So i figured if I was to ever git gud I feel like Empire would force this. So, from what I understand I should immediately start heading north and securing the coast against chaos correct? Do I conquer everything between me and there, or do I try to diplomacy it up? Am I in the ball park or am I way off?

Invocation of Nehek has a cooldown longer than its duration. Having multiple of them rolling over and over is really powerful. Overcast 1, 1 is on cooldown, 1 expires, cast 2, 2 is on cooldown, 1 is off cooldown... etc. It will make your cluster immortal. They are also really good for splitting engagements. Their auras have limits to their range, so having multiple is good.

Also (imo) Vampire Lords are better leaders than necromancers because they can actually fight in melee. Plus Lore of Death is still ridiculously good.

Try to ally with Nordland early for a quest you'll get, avoid confederating too early because it'll drag you into useless wars. Build up reikland until Chaos invades, then when you've dealt with them, you'll have a bonus that'll essentially give you free confederation.

desperately tries to affect the balancing of the game

Turn 1: Attack enemy army near Grunburg, beat it
Turn 1a: Move army to attack the settlement
Turn 1b: Move army back into Reikland, recruit 3 Swordsmen

Turn 2: Attack Grunburg if you didn't, else move on to the one in the Southwest, capture it, delete barracks in Altdorf since the SW settlement will have it, recruit 3 more swordsmen

Turn 3: Finish off rebels, capture Eilhart, recruit 3 more swordsmen.

Now is where it gets interesting. You want Marienburg to the west of Eilhart - it has a unique building that generates massive income, but it's very well fortified and generally has a 20 stack army in it as well as its garrison. If you are good at sieges, you can probably do it. If you don't want to attack the city while the enemy army is in it, set your army to ambush mode outside Eilhart and hope you don't get cucked by RNG. After that, attack Gorssel in the north. Sack it, then raze it. You don't want this settlement as it will suffer constant raids from Chaos which will generally do more harm than good from actually building the settlement up.

All the while doing this, you wanna build Altdorf up for either Reikguard, Demigryphys or Greatswords and if you want, the College to unlock Balthasar. In regards to the other factions nearby, you can keep vampires sweet by attacking orcs, but these usually die to other human and dwarf AIs nearby really early on. You also want to focus on forging a defensive (ideally not military) alliance with Nordland for the Reikland Runefang quest for Karl.

There are some settlements of relative importance you might want to capture if you want OP cavalry, namely the one directly north of Altdorf for the Knights Panther Chapter House and Couronne (Bretonnia's capital) for the Couronne training grounds. You will be able to recruit rank 6+ Reikguard and Demigryphys with both, rank 7+ with a tech. Grunburg (Reikland) also has a building that increases the level of Cavalry. It's ridiculously powerful but takes time to get.

So Sauron (before getting his hand cut off) and his legions of Orcies and whatnot all magically appear in the Old World, Mordor gets shoved in somewhere in the Darklands, or Badlands south of the Border Princes, maybe by Ekrund and a nice big path or two get opened up to the Old World. He's no friend of chaos. He's got the Nazghul, Trolls, Oliphants, a few legions of easterlings too.

Almost all heroes are extremely cost effective

dwarf heroes are really tough. i'd make a wall with 3 or 4 to protect my gunline by not only tying up enemy troops, but also giving my guns obstructed views of them.

Oakley and Indypride are my favorites. Oakley is a loveable goof and Indypride likes to show off mods. Both are great at multiplayer while also sometimes playing meme games against one another

This, you can have heroes tie down an enemy unit while gunners fire at them with minimal chance of FF. You can do the same with artillery but it's more risky

Better camera allows you to zoom in and out about 3-4x as much. It's quite handy, esp. on a large monitor.
