If you've found a good market it's best to keep your mouth shut. Keep blabbing and your mogpoms will devalue by 50% or more within a day and sales rates will plummet.

what's the optimal use of aetherflow? I use fester-painflare-fester or painflare-fester-painflare with every aetherflow after the opening
is it better to just use all stacks on fester instead?

They're no secret though, just no one bothers with fishing outside of diadem or grinding blue scrips which is a shame.

I got my FSH to 60 in about 8 months from just doing daily GC turn ins.
And now I have no idea how to actually fish.

Titanic Swordfish was the hardest fish to deal with, once I got past that the only one that gave me trouble was the Nepto Dragon, and it was still LESS trouble.

There's a way to lessen the grind, but it does require some external legwork.
Use a fishing resource site like en.ff14angler.com/ and check the locations and levels of the fishing areas. You'll find there some fish at or just above your level that will pop up more often when you use certain bait in them.

So you go to those spots till you get high enough level to go to another spot similarly and so on.

Using survival manuals and food helps out a lot too.

It's really not that bad if you've got a controller.
I just plopped myself down in the best average XP area for my level and pressed buttons when the controller vibrated.
I was alt-tabbed for most of my leveling experience watching stuff.

I'm almost tempted to just cough up the 2mil and buy it, but that wouldn't be very sportsmanlike.

That's totally fair enough, and I wouldn't expect everyone to get into it. If you enjoy something, it doesn't feel like work and the money you make becomes a nice bonus. If you don't enjoy it it's just a drag.

I haven't reduction fished for a while so it's probably not as good for cash as it used to be. When I did it, I did it to get myself to 50 million then I stopped and have been doing relic, and now catching up on Big Fishing.

There was a time when it was super profitable, and those times are usually just after patches drop and new recipes requiring the sands come out. At that time I was pulling up stuff that by itself was worth 80k on the market, often in batches of like five, and stuff valued at 20k and going upwards usually in batches of 10. So it was pretty nice.
