Awesome cutaways

Awesome cutaways.

I'll start

sadly I think this is becoming a lost art

Nice

Only if you mean the art part literally. This is standard and easy with 3D modeling if anybody so chose.

I will admit though, everything I see old engineering drawings done by hand, I wonder how the hell they did it, and how long it took.

I can not fathom drawing this by hand

Why have 1 fan push and 1 pull? is it to allow for greater fan diameter? it looks like they both could fit on the same side though.

Maybe the alternator/intake got in way for the one that push

I didn't realize women drove race cars in swimsuits

...

Aprons tend to fly around too much if the windows are down.

Safety first, user.

I love these shame more people now days don't give a shit

This thread is full of so much win

Very cool but you can tell it is CG... there is something really magic about the human touch.

I think a few of what's been posted are CG.

It's just incredible that some people have (had?) the skill to making airbrushing and pencil look so similar to a fifty years of computing power. Getting angles exactly right, being consistent with colors and light points. Ridiculous.

I think the viper and the boxster are the only other two.

...

You'll notice most of these are old cars, since the internet nobody gives a shit about how anything works anymore.

Damn, the engine just keeps moving more forward with every generation

Porsche is slowly learning that they made a mistake.

Considering that the Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder are faster than more expensive 911s, I think they know which is the better platform
The only problem is the customers

>"muh feels"
>75% of the cars are mechanically the same

Can superimpose be considered as a cutaway ?

lets hav a look

Ayy

even with the 356 it moves forward a little

It looks cool.

as you see having 4 seats is still more important

not much change with the engine still somewhat inline with the back edge of the rear wheel

now for some mid engine

and now for tiny mid engine

needs more pixels
